Great coffee but...

I bought this machine 8 months ago and have had problems with it prior to today. But today it completely stopped brewing and kept throwing errors even after descaling, and doing a factory reset. My machine is completely clean but broke for unknown reasons. I would avoid the vertuo next at all costs.

Coffee tasted like burnt plastic!

I bought this machine, and the coffee tasted like burnt plastic. I tried replacing the machine several times, and all machines had the same issue - the coffee tasted like burnt plastic. It's sad because none of their older Virtuo machines had this problem, but this is clearly a problem with the Virtuo machines now. I would strongly recommend not buying any of these machines until Nespresso has resolved this problem. Sincerely, a Nespresso customer for over 15 years.

We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body, and aroma in each brew, as well as help loosen the locking mechanism if there is coffee build up from brewing. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY! THIS THING DOES NOT WORK! THERE IS CURRENTLY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS MACHINE FOR BEING DEFECTIVE, LOOK IT UP. This machine as done nothing but waste pods, ruin mornings, and deepen my disgust towards Nestle as a company

Poor Quality

Didn't even last a year, and even when I used it, would stop working half the time. Save yourself the trouble and purchase a different machine other than this one.

Machine quit after 1 year...descaled and worked for another 2 months, and quit again. Too much time spent trying to fix it, so won't be purchasing this brand

Look for something else

Much like other reviewers, the quality on this machine is lacking. Even with proper maintenance, it went bad right before the 2 year mark. I put the pod in and click the button - Light blinks orange twice. Descaled and Cleaned - it works 1 time and then process starts over again. Tech support couldn't fix it and offered 35% off a new device since it is out of warranty. I wouldn't recommend this device.

Plagued with troubles

When it works, it is a great machine. But we have had two irreparably break in a three year time, so I do not recommend this model.
