Mine kept on stopping til it officially stopped working fully after 6 months. The "rebooting, unplugging technique" worked few times but now it finally gave up. It made a hissing sound whenever I try to brew then light turns red and freezes there. I loved the coffee it made though. I am thinking of buying the Citiz as replacement. Hopefully this is more durable.

Upgraded from Vertuo Next

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made the decision to upgrade to the VertuoPlus after my Vertuo Next succumbed to the well-documented and widespread barcode read error issue after two years of use. After months of repeated cleanings and a frustrating number of wasted pods and time, I gave up and decided I needed a replacement. The VertuoPlus has been 100% reliable after two months of daily use. Unlike the Vertuo Next, the Plus has no mess within the brewing chamber. Hopefully this means no barcode read errors in the future. Other upgrades include a more fancy motorized lid opening and closing mechanism and a larger water reservoir meaning an increased interval between water refills. Brew quality is also slightly improved since I would sometimes get grounds in my coffee with the Vertuo Next. If I’m nitpicking, I’d say the only negatives would be a slightly longer and louder brew time, a few drips that end up in the cup tray after brewing is complete, and a less elegant pod waste bin. These are all very minor and would in no way sway my decision to go with the VertuoPlus over the Vertuo Next. If you’re cross-shopping these two models, please heed my advice; there is only one true winner here: the Vertuo Plus. I estimate wasting a total of 50 pods over my two years of troubleshooting struggles with the Vertuo Next. Save yourself the frustration and go with the PLUS.

DO NOT BUY - JUNK!

DO NOT BUY THIS. EVERY person I know with this machine, myself included had it break in less than 2 years. In many cases the issues started within the first few weeks and months. Nespresso should be ashamed. I have wasted so much money on their cleaning kit and additional coffee sleeves because of all the pods get ruined with it won’t brew. Worst of all you won’t get any warning message until you hit the brew button. DO NOT BUY

Coffee is good but not as hot as Keurig. Unfortunately it stopped working less than a year after getting it. Troubleshooted and bought the descaling kit but it is done! Very disappointed!

I love it, but, it's shelf life is only 2-3 years.

Not sure I'll buy another. It works well and the coffee is good, especially the espresso shots. But, as with most buyers, I've ended up with what's been named, "the dreaded leak". Basically, it's going to happen. I hoped my machine escaped the curse, but no. I end up with a puddle of water like thousands of others. Check You Tube during your research. You'll see, I'm not by far, the only one.

A downgrade from my last Nesresso machine

I received this as a gift after having a Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe Machine By De'Longhi for almost 4 years. I LOVED that machine and still have it, thankfully, because this new one is inferior in several ways. The new one is loud and makes unpleasant grinding type noises when brewing, especially near the end of the brew cycle. It also has a smaller water resevoir, a smaller capsule capture bin, and the pods do not slide into the bin when I open the machine 99% of the time. The two stars is for making good coffee and espresso. I love the aerocinno milk frother too but don't use it very often.
I honestly don't think I will keep using this which is a shame and I can't return it because it was a gift with no gift receipt. :(

Dented Machines!!!!!

Each machine i have received is dented……for how expensive these are that is not ok. I got a machine for Christmas it came dented. I got sent a replacement machine it came dented too??? What’s the deal
