Poor Design

I purchased this a few months ago for a kitchen remodel. I needed a downdraft model to replace a Jenn-Air I had for many years. I bought the 36" 5 burner model because I have the room. The problem is four of the burners are in one half of the unit (18"). You could never use them at the same time as the pots touch and there is no room for pot handles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleased with a needed upgrade that accommodates larger common sized pans, 11", 12". Nice power on the exhaust and cooking faster and more efficient. KitchenAid, can't lose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this cooktop almost year ago for its function and appearance. The top is now damage from everyday use and KitchenAid is refusing to repair because it is cosmetic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced older 30”. New 36” infinitely better. Intuitive controls compliment highly functional burners. Multifunctional burners huge plus as is smooth temperature control. Highly efficient burners and downdraft exhaust fan. Actually added to surface area. Wife and I love it!

Best upgrade so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this cooktop a couple of months ago as a very much needed kitchen upgrade. The previous cooktop was over 40 years old and still working. But, it was time for an upgrade. KitchenAid was the best choice and every aspect of it works beautifully. My next purchase, oven, will be from KitchenAid. Than you!
