[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago replacing our original Whirlpool downdraft...we love the sleek lines and the extra cooking space.
I have owned this cooktop for 4 years. It cooks quickly and efficiently. The downdraft does work very well. The only problem is cosmetic. The metal air grill is constructed poorly and the paint started chipping off that first year. It was only a small chip the first year, but a huge chip just came off at year 4. And I haven't ever used harsh chemicals or rubbed the grill vigorously when I cleaned it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item 3 months ago. The glass has chips all over the burners. I had induction stoves and glass stove but this one is very poor quality . The fan does not take the smoke in .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few weeks ago as we are updating the kitchen and needed a downdraft cooktop to replace one that was28 years old. Heats & cools down much faster than old one. A bit concerned about keeping black glass looking good, though, as it seems that it will scratch easily. Only time will tell how well it holds up with daily use.
