[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this installed and working in our updated kitchen for about 5 months now, and overall its a joy to use. The burner elements heat up quickly and evenly, and they are relatively easy to control... it takes longer to adjust heat lower than for elements to get hotter. The vent fan is great - works much better than I'd anticipated it would, and it really does suck smoke and steam right out - even works well on medium, and not too loud either. if there are to small downsides... 1 - its hard to keep looking clean. a problem with all cooktops like this i guess, but it seems like I'm having to clean it as soon as it cools down after any use with spill or splatter...(don't try to clean when hot - makes things MUCH worse) Unfortunately, the lovely black surface shows off every spec of grease/food particle. 2 - The knob for the double burner is not intuitive... to use in single mode, you need to turn it to the opposite direction from all the other knobs - and we've had some surprises with over or under-heating. Otherwise, if you like smooth top burners, this is an excellent choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy, but I noticed a small scratch after three one half weeks. The pans we have are smooth flat bottoms. Hope this is not a recurring issue. Unit sets off the kitchen appearance nicely.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first unit delivered had a cosmetic problem with small area not painted. Replacement appears to be OK. Two areas of concern; we looked everywhere and used online Q&A and never got an answer as to the two different wattages on the burner that has two size circles. No one appears to know. Secondly the pictures for marketing appear to show each burner with a different shade of black so as to know where the outline of the burner is. The reality is you almost cannot tell without turning on the burner and letting it get hot/glowing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not used to cooking on a ceramic top yet but this is a very nice cooktop with a lot of great burner sizes that even fit my 12” skillets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this because we weren’t ready to do major demo. Our existing cooktop is downdraft and the choices were limited. We purchased other appliances through KitcheAid so decided to go with them. We were however disappointed to see that the cooktop does not sit flush on our countertop something they could have disclosed before purchase. There is a quarter inch gap allowing food and fluids to seep through. Also the downdraft feature is very poor and unless you are using the burner closest to the vent, it’s useless. My opinion this was an overpriced low quality purchase.
