Showing signs of wear in just a few months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this cooktop for less than 3 months and the heating elements have burned an outline into the underside of the black glass that is visible when the surface is cold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Difficult to keep clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the quick heating features; however, keeping the cooktop clean and shiney is very difficult. Everytime I cook, brown stains appear. I was able to remove most of them, but there are some stains I was not able to remove. This is very disappointing, considering the cost of the cook top. I was afraid to use it for several days, because of that experience.
I tried multiple cleaners, but it is disappointing that I have the dark stains. Also, I am not able to use any pans that are colored at the bottom. So I had to get rid of a number of expensive pans I bought in fear of ruining the cooktop. In all realty, cooks should not have to worry about damaging their cooktops. They should be easy to keep clean and not worry about burnt stains. In addition, it would be helpful to have a cover that we could keep over it when not in use. I worry that I will accidentally crack or scratch it. The handles are also difficult to turn at times. You have to make sure to press down, then turn. I am concerned I may force it one day and break it.

Vent and knobs

The downdraft fan installation book is not close to being correct for the vent location. Picture and measurements are off 11 inches. It was a nightmare to get it to work with the in wall vent piping.
