[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this appliance one month ago, it was simple to assembly and easy to install, the best came later with its performance, food is quickly fixed with no issues due the vapors coming out , if something spills out of the pot it could be easily removed using conventional soap and soft sponge. Very Happy with this purchase...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric cooktop was the only one I could find with a downdraft. I really love it. It not only cooks great, but makes my kitchen look fantastic. It is so clean looking! Be sure to get the cleaner they recommend, though, as you cannot clean it with just water!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the cooktop for about a month. Very durable ceramic top and easy to clean. Only issue is that it takes 12-15 min to boil water due to recycling burner feature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually don't do reviews, but after searching for appliances with such mixed reviews I decided to review my latest appliance purchases. This says it's an electric downdraft cooktop--I purchased the professional 36 inch gas cooktop. I want to list both pros and cons. Pros are many: huge workspace, magnificent burners, heats quickly or slowly depending on setting, setting controls allow for a continual adjustment of temperature instead of 3 settings, quiet, controls are out of the way of the burners, easy to clean and looks very professional. Cons: Does not have a light behind the control knobs when turned on, the small burner is in the back middle. Control knobs turn on easily even when bumped, without the backlight it wouldn't even know it was bumped on. I would have preferred two smaller burners and at the very least one that was in the front. Overall, I love the cooktop!! I'm hoping KitchenAid will read my review and make the small adjustments to the control knobs. They would be simple adjustments and make this appliance hard to beat.
My wife and I just updated our kitchen and replaced the old smaller electric cooktop with this Kitchenaid model. The old unit was still working but showing it's age and the new cooktop gave us an extra burner plus it has many updated features. The temperture settings are MUCH improved over our old cooktop. It was very difficult to get the correct setting for simmer but the Kitchenaid has many additional settings that helps you get the right temperature for your needs. I also like the downdraft fan better in the Kitchenaid. Much quieter and seems to do a better job than the cooktop we replaced.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed cooktop on a granite top cook island and used for a month. Cooktop functioned well all around. Only drawback is glass top is very hard to clean to get all stains off. Scraping with a blade is necessary and still not all stains can be completely removed (of course scraping with limited force not to scratch the glass). Furthermore, the markings on the glass top for indicating the locations of the burner elements are very difficult to see to allow precise positioning of a pot (without seeing the glow of the burner).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made the purchase when I was upgrading my countertop. The sleek design of the cooktop enhances the updated look of my kitchen.
