Modern day candle

Purchased two for use wild camping and bothying. One was DOA and exchanged by the supplier.
Knocked off a star as the lantern is almost perfect. (see below)
Is it small, lightweight, inexpensive, and self-powered.
Used in a bothy along with two Light-a-life mini for light during the night (~3.5hours), then all night on its lowest setting to give a little light (~10hours) and the lantern had only dropped two dots.
Lantern will sit flush on its base when plugged into a USB battery back (see photo) meaning it can run direct from an external battery pack.
A few areas for improvement.
USB connector should be flipped. If plugged into a USB socket the lantern will be up-side-down.
Would be nice if a mini karabiner were included; one is included with the light-a-life mini.
Main problem is the non-removable battery. Goal Zero is all about sustainability; however, produced a product that is essentially throwaway. Wouldn't have been so difficult to make the unit screw apart and the battery be replaceable.
Would be nice if higher end models had some kind of remote for turning the lanterns on-off from ones sleeping bag. (not a phone app as I would then be concerned about damaging the phone in my sleep)

I am using this strapped to the front of my bike in 2 LED lantern mode because other cheap bike lights have too narrow of beams. Although I purchased the flashlight version, I dislike the super bright small center dot, compared to the rest of the beam.
The lowest power modes on each setting are too low power for navigating in the dark or working on something broken. My most used mode is 2 LED at almost full power.

Mighty little light

Love this light! It is very small, yet produces good light for its size. Also has dim features that I used as a night light that showed a nice, dim, but useable light throughout my house when my power was out for several days, much better than a flammable option like candles. Sits upright on a surface, or can hang. Also has battery charge indicator. Hardly uses any power, so it operates on one charge for a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Use this tiny light almost daily to light my back patio while I swim. It allows me to move around the patio without stubbing a toe, access and use the swim-spa chemicals, and watch the wall clock from the swim-spa to ensure I get out in time for work. I'm wondering if I'll have to recharge at all before it gets light out again next Spring.
Placement of the on/off switch is strange and a problem for me. It's located next to the forward beam and I can't feel it with my finger tip well enough and often have to look for it to use it. Don't really like looking into the beam just to find the button to turn it off.

Blindingly Bright

For a small light, it's incredibly bright. In fact, too bright to have above eye level because the LEDs aim straight out. I'm not sure why they bothered with the hanger. The LEDs are dimmable, but it is difficult to do because the button wasn't implemented well, and it seems like the only option is to turn it on full bright and then dim it, which, again, is blinding. I gave it two stars because it seems like it would be really convenient packaging for a light if the engineering behind it was a bit better, but I can't think of a situation where I would use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this lamp in juni this year. It gave a lot of light. I used it one week. But now the battery is empty and it doesn't recharge, whatever you do.
