Versatile

Very convenient to grab when your cell phone is drained & you don't have time to charge it up. Either use it to charge the phone or use the AA batteries in a GPS or flashlight.

Providing new life to a dying phone

With two battery packs for my Guide 10, I always have one charged and another charging. As quickly as I notice my Smart Phone battery level has dropped below 10%, I attach the Guide 10 charged battery pack and back up to full power in a short time without having to be close to a household or vehicle power source. The best thing is there is no cost for a recharge whether in the airport or on top of a mountain. Goal Zero backs their product. When I had a misfortunate accident damaging the Guide 10 battery pack; Goal Zero had a replacement to me within a few days.

Everyone should own a guide 10

While camping my teenage children refuse to be without their cell phones or IPods. I don't own an RV so power is extremely limited. I was pricing portable generators and came across the Goal Zero site. The guide 10 provides enough power to keep my kids happy. It's the perfect size in my already crowded van. Once fully charged at home, it holds enough power to recharge electronics overnight ,and then be recharged the next day via the Nomad 7 solar panel, to be used again the next night. Having kids also means weekend sports, and on some weekends it means leaving the house at 7am and getting home around 7pm. I just set my Nomad 7 on the dash and attach the Guide 10 and charge all the way to the fields. Now we always have power no matter where we are or how long we are out and about. My ultimate goal is to get one for each member of my family so I can have the piece of mind knowing they will always have the power they need.

I use AA batteries in a lot of devices, so one of the reasons I like the Guide 10 Plus so much is the versatility it gives me when I'm on the move. I have a charging pack for my iPhone and a ready source of AA batteries for other devices such as my Digital SLR. And if I want extra charge I just need to take along an extra set of batteries.

We bought additional batteries to use with our guide 10. It is a must have item for any time we will be away from the house for the whole day. Keep my phone charged! Love that AA batteries are used.

Great for Hiking, but Better for Travel

The Guide 10 Plus is something my wife and I make sure we have on every trip. We have so many gadgets and I have not run across anything this powerful little charger can't at least extend for us. The one time we allow our kids and ourselves to dive into the electronics for longer than hour is on the road. The Guide 10 Plus gives us the extension we need to keep everyone happy in their seats for the duration. Once we arrive the batteries themselves have turned out to be a blessing - just don't leave the batteries inside a vacation home remote. AA or AAA batteries, usb charger, flashlight and recharges by solar makes it by far one of the best chargers we own....oh yeah - great look to it to boot.

Guide 10 is awesome

This unit is so handy that I bought my wife one too. She is forever forgetting to charge her cell phone and now she can always charge it anywhere she may be. I always toss it in my pack when I'm going hiking to charge my phone or MP3 player or if I need some batteries for my head lamp.
