I charged this when i first got it over a year ago.Then I stuck it in my backback. Lost power in the house. remembered I had it and was able to fully charge my smart phone. Couldnt be happier!

I use my battery pack in addition to my nomad 7. I love that it can charge my phone or iPod several times before I need to recharge it!

Cant go without it

I bought this product soully for backpacking. I take the 4 batteries and the charger no matter what when I am backpacking. I will sometime carry a second set of 4 batteries for extended periods of time backpacking. I can backpack all day (10-12hrs), set up camp and while setting up camp I can plug the battery charger up to the solar panel while the battery charger is also connected to my GPS, charging. I also use the charging system to charge my cell phone. I don't have an Ipod, so I put music on my phone and hook it up to the speakers and have a nice amount of music to listen to while setting up camp, eating my meal and sitting at the fire. In my opinion, if you feel that you need to take several sets of batteries with you, avoid it by ussing this device. This device can charge anything while your on the move, and it can be recharged using the solar panel while on the move. The combination of the solar panel, battery charger, and speaker has made my multi-day backpacking trips much more comfortable and gives me a sence of security knowing that I will always have batteries for my GPS, Flash lights, ect.

On the go with Goal Zero

I am an IT geek who travels for a living. I tired of searching and fighting for electric plugs in the airport. I can easily whip out my Guide 10 to recarge my phone several times in a trip and keep it topped up with My Nomad 7 solar pannel. Gret stuff! very solid!
