silly clock setting

So far it's fine. But it's silly to factory-set the clock to not display when the microwave is not in use, and not allow that to be changed. How much energy can that really save?

Very nice, but frustrating

This is a good microwave that functionally works very well and has great options. The cons are bad enough that I would have purchased a different one though. The user interface is pretty bad. You have to push too many buttons just to accomplish your goal. For instance, if you want popcorn, you have to hit popcorn, start, and start again. Also the door makes it very hard for the young ones to get in it. I have mine installed at adult eye level above my oven. I have had this for about a year now and wish I upgraded to the Cafe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Built in microwave poor exterior design

Very disappointed that the electronics were not updated as in the wall oven. The microwave electronic panel is outdated!! It looks like it is 7 years old! Sad!

It's really difficult to use as a convection oven. It opens like an oven which is extremely inconvenient. What a dumb idea!! The door doesn't lie flat so you need to keep it down while trying to take the dish out and try not to get burned. I don't understand why it couldn't open to the side like a regular microwave. This was the only model we could choose from the builder if we wanted a convection/microwave oven and it was a mistake!! If you want a convection/microwave oven look for another model that opens to the side. We were very disappointed with this. All our other appliances are GE Profiles and we love those. Stay away from this one!!

We own an appliance store, and I was able to have the very first model Advantium in early 2000. I am now renovating my kitchen and would not even consider any other appliance for a microwave. I love my Advantium! I am a foodie and love to cook, it’s the best!
