Cooks Well, Display and Dials Stop Working after a Year

This would be great...if I could select which cooking mode! Used to love this toaster oven air fryer. Unfortunately, the dial doesn't work. You turn it and it won't change the cooking mode, or it will go backwards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible job toasting, but a great air fryer

Unfortunately it does a terrible job toasting bread, etc... takes a very long time and usually have to run it more than one cycle, on the highest toasting setting. 10 minutes to wait did an English muffin is ridiculous. I do like the air fryer feature.

Excellent counter top oven. Even has convection in two versions.
When air frying, be sure to put pan just below the basket to catch drippings.
Also LIGHTLY cover anything to catch the splattering but loose enough allow air to freely circulate around the top of your dish. (sure helps with the cleaning)

If this is even close to what you are looking for, buy it. This is my 2nd or 3rd counter top oven but my first Breville. OUTSTANDING.

We received our oven a month ago or so and use it almost every day. We love it. I cook a lot and we only have had one over which is challenging at time. This is a second oven. It does everything our full size oven does and more. The only thing it can't do is fit full size cookie sheets but that's no problem. It pre-heats quickly and cooks fast. I have had to adjust cook times since it does cook fast but the learning curve is not steep. I would highly recommend this to any one looking for a real counter top oven. I also want to comment Breville's quality. I have several Breville appliances and they are all outstanding.

Works like a dream, but a real nightmare to clean.

This is an amazing machine. All of the settings work wonderfully, and as they should. Air fried items come out perfectly crispy, baked items bake quickly with swirling conventional beauty. But oh my, good luck getting it clean. The non-stick tray was almost impossible to clean after air frying a batch of lightly oiled fries (we used it under the air fryer so the oil wouldn’t get on the burners, so much so that I will never use it again without covering it with aluminum foil. But the worst part is the air fry baker. It works well, but it is literally impossible to clean. It has a tiny basket wave structure made of metal, and if you try to scrub it with a sponge you will spend the rest of your short life trying to pick out the hundreds of millions of tiny plastic sponge fibers that have been shredded and stuck into a million tiny mesh eyelets. Oh, and the manual provides no suggestions. But it does say you can’t put the air fry tray in the dishwasher.

Our little Breville is still cooking well, but we have needed a new drip tray since May, and none are available.
