Blows the circuit so we can’t use it. Obviously could be our house, which is not old construction/electrical, but a problem when purchasing the unit for any home that it either draws so much power or surges, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish it had an extra inch in the interior

I recently replaced my old Breville toaster oven with a Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro and use it almost every day: toast, bake, slow cooker, air fryer. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because the interior width dimension, which I understood to be 16 inches is slightly less due to the rack slots. Therefore, the oven does not accommodate some of my bread baking pans, 9x13 pans with handles, etc. So unfortunately I’m not getting quite the use out of it that I had anticipated. That said, it’s an essential appliance in my kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We used it for 2 weeks camping. We tried to unplug the oven and the plug was melted to the outlet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We're sorry to hear of your experience. As noted in the manual, the toaster oven is not meant to be used in moving vehicles, outside, or anywhere other than in-home use.
The manufacturing quality is poor as can seen from the photos. The door is miss-aligned which prohibits from making a seal/leaves a gap.

Depending on the moisture content of the food you're air frying, there will be steam emitted from the door. The vents in the door are for just that purpose. The steam will get on the display panel. You'll see this noted in the user's manual, including under the Trouble Shooting section.

Best Multi Function Appliance

I've had other Breville ovens, but this is the best ever. I've made pot roast on the slow cook setting & it was excellent. Air fry is great for bacon. I plan to try dehydrate next. Gave away my stand alone air fryer & the crockpot is going too. If you plan to buy a Breville oven, upgrade to this one. You won't be disappointed. I have several Breville appliances & they're all top of the line.

It can do (practically) anything!

When the Smart Oven Air came out, I asked myself, "Why buy a new oven when my Smart Oven Pro works perfectly well?" But when I read that the Smart Oven Air can air-fry, I had my excuse to buy it. (We gave the Smart Oven Pro to our grateful oldest daughter.) Yes, the Smart Oven can air-fry, but what I didn't know is that it can dehydrate, too. In fact, right now it's making a batch of dried jerky treats for our dogs. (Recipe on request.) Although our main cooking device is our microwave, we use at least twice a week (primarily on the weekend when my husband and I have more time to cook). We've used it for everything: pizza, cookies, cakes, chicken wings, frozen snacks, and jerky (as mentioned). We've had it only for about a month, so I can assure you we will use it for many, many more snacks and meals in the months and years to come. Good job, Breville. Another outstanding appliance!

Please tell me why toast is only getting brown on top. I am using toast 6 and rack in correct position. Otherwise love my oven.

Very, Very Nice!

I am in my mid 60's and have never owned a compact or toaster oven. I'm now wondering what took me so long! Granted, this is not the small, under-the-cabinet mounted toaster oven of years ago, but a "just-the-right-size" countertop oven. This was not my first choice in compact oven. I originally bought a more affordable brand because I wanted one with a rotisserie and I noticed that Breville does not manufacture one that can be used on North American voltage. Needless to say, that "cheaper" brand's rotisserie failed during the first use, meaning I had to rethink about a compact oven.
In spite of the much higher price tag, I chose this over the Smart Oven Pro for it's additional features, but primarily because of the added interior space. It holds food items I never expected to fit in it, including a 10-lb. ham. Most of my current baking & roasting utensils fit just right and overall much better constructed than the bargain brand and worth the additional expense.
What a pleasure to be able to have some items mostly or fully cooked in the time it takes just for my full-sized oven to preheat! It turns out I don't miss not having the rotisserie feature after all.
