Breville once again made a great product. We love the air fryer option and have used it a lot. Nice to have frozen fries turn out crispy yet soft and potato-y in the middle again. The baking part works well and the temp is reliable. I like the new list of toast, bagel, bake, broil, air fry, dehydrate etc.. Much easier to see and operate than older models. This is a beast of an appliance and will take up counter space so measure before you hit "purchase". It gets hot of course but they all will. Toasting still takes longer than the good old fashioned toasters do but it does the job if your patient. 5 minutes almost for an english muffin. If you are replacing a breville with this new one, call the company and let them know - they gave us 25% off since we were upgrading. Not sure how long that deal goes on but heck, "No" is the answer to every question you don't ask right?
The last Breville toaster oven was the smaller one because of space restrictions, however, it was such a workhorse that when it finally died, I bought another Breville. This time, we have the space for the Air Fryer Pro. We use our toaster oven for anything that can fit inside. We use it for everything from pastry to roasts. I've enjoyed the air fryer feature and am still learning how to best use it. Having the recipes from the test kitchen really helps.
We had much about this brand and this particular all-singing, all-dancing air fryer so at the first opportunity, when we could afford it, for it’s certainly not cheap, we bought it. Nice design and full of functions, but if it takes 10 minutes to toast 4 slices of bread, then I think I will stick to my good old toaster. We have used it only once to cook vegetable curry, which cooked good but be careful NOT to touch any part of the steel box for it gets ever so hot! There is no insulation for the top or the sides. One of the more expensive fryers which can hold 4 shelves, comes with only 2 of them. Of course more available at extra cost. Although fuctionality is great, performance so far not so.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second Breville oven I’ve owned. Really like this one. Very efficient, pre heats quickly and is a joy to use. There are enough features to do almost anything you want to do. We’ve slow cooked, broiled, baked and leavened bread. Ours sits on a cart that adds additional storage and frees up counter space. Not using our main oven with the amount of heat a main oven generates is life saving. We live in Florida and our AC is on all the time. UMMV, be we live ours.
In spite of a defective first-purchase of this a few years ago (door would not close), this was quickly replaced by Breville. Recently the fan in the replacement went out, so returned to Breville only to learn that it could not be repaired to meet their standards. They offered to replace at a good discount, so recently I purchased it again.
I am crazy about this oven and use whenever possible instead of my full size one. It does what it says. The only thing I have not tried is the dehydrator, but plan to do so. In spite of the 2 random problems, I do not want to be without this oven, and highly recommend. Breville was great to work with as well. A superb company with a great product, and would get again.
