Start button quits working

We've purchased two of these (Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, Brushed Stainless Steel, BOV900BSS) since 10/26/2022. Both worked for a while and then the start button quit working correctly. Both times the screen on both units displays a two line code, first line = 120, second line = 9067. The thing is that we really like the unit and want one that will keep working, given the cost.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warning: do not purchase

This is a good if not great product when it works. Unfortunately, three years later the door does not shut properly because a problem with the hinge. I tried fixing the problem myself and cut my finger pretty badly during the process and it was hard to reassemble correctly. For the price, these units do not last as long as required.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product but concerned with durability

It is a great product. Love the feature and functionality. But I am worried about durability. The piece I first got stopped working after just over a year. Breville 2 year warranty covered me (thanks for that!) and I got a replacement. But now I am keeping my fingers crossed what would happen in another year's time to the replacement piece
My old oven which this Breville oven replaced was about a fifth of the price, never broke down, lasted until I decide to replace it for this newer piece. I would have thought one would get at least as much reliability when I am paying a lot more.

Decent overall but could use some improvements

The oven takes a long time to preheat. It could be because it is large compared to our previous toaster oven.
It does not come with a drip pan for Air Frying! This is essential. The instructions say to not Air Fry food that drips... most of what we like to Air Fry drips! We were able to find a pan that works, but we did have to purchase it separately. Breville did not make one that would fit.
It would be a big improvement to have a self cleaning cycle on the oven. After only a short time, it's dirty inside and impossible to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’ve had Breville’s Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro for nearly a month now, and I’m still enamored with it — so much packed into this unit. In fact, the Air Fryer Pro is so versatile, I rarely use the full-size oven anymore. And, of course, Breville’s incredible quality is deeply baked [pun not intended] into it, so I expect to use it reliably for many years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really appreciate my "the Smart Oven:registered: Air". I hesitated for a while and shopped around looking for a good price. The price at major department stores were more than the price on this site. Purchased in December, just used it for the first time; pizza. The pizza cooked on the convection setting, was ready before the 20 minutes was up. I don't use the oven on my stove anymore. I love the fact that this machine has a dehydrate setting also. It looks GREAT on my counter top. I love using it. So far, I have NO complaints about this oven. Thank You Breville.
