Wonderful Addition to the Kitchen

I've had a previous oven and it was fine. This one is outstanding. I've used it several times since I got it about 6 months ago; however, this weekend was my first time using the dehydrator. It worked fantastically. I diced peppers from the garden and used parchment paper, as recommended. Now I have the fresh flavor of peppers whenever I need them. So far, the only function I have yet to discover is the slow cooker. Guess that's on tap this weekend. If you don't have one of these ovens, you are missing out on so much opportunity in your kitchen. I love to cook and now I love to even more!
I am one to always read reviews and do a little research on products prior to purchasing. After scouring hundreds of customer reviews on various websites and also side by side comparisons from several different sources, the Breville nearly always came out at or near the top. But the price was also at the very top. It was considerably more expensive than other models that listed identical features, so the decision came down to simply trusting those reviews and believing the extra money was going to be worth it. Unboxing found the unit to be extremely well packaged and protected for those occasional shipping bumps that seem to occur. All the normal manuals and literature to get you started were also in the box. The unit comes with a nice assortment of trays and racks for baking, broiling, and air frying. Once set up I completed the recommended 20-minute bake with nothing in it and t was ready to go. So far we have baked, broiled, toasted, and air-fried and everything has worked flawlessly and food turned out amazing. We are very happy with the unit and believe the extra cost was indeed money well spent.
Excellent...Love it!!...Quality Construction...Also purchased the bamboo cutting board. Very Happy! Go ahead and enjoy having some extra room!

Oven door won’t close

Great oven . Love it. Almost 3 years old and the door won’t close tight anymore. We purchased the warranty and they sent us a check for the full amount. Happy for that but I was really hoping Breville would send me somewhere to get it fixed. I will be buying another for sure.

Loved this! Except…

We’ve had this product for four years now and have loved it! However it suddenly doesn’t want to shut properly. I have to force the door shut! And because of this, my oven constantly thinks it’s in preheat mode. Last night the timer wouldn’t work. I’m disappointed that such an expensive product hasn’t been holding up better. If I had to guess I would say we’ve used this 20 times.
Start up select pizza let it run before using. 6 minutes left on the 20 minute burn in and the temperature of the left side and top reaches well over 135 degrees. If you accidentally touch the cabinet you’ll get a burn
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear of your experience. You'll notice in the oven's manual that we do advise against touching the hot surfaces. To avoid burns, use extreme caution when removing pans, dishes and accessories such as the included broiling rack and roasting pan, that contain hot oil or other hot liquids.
