Loved this! Except…

We’ve had this product for four years now and have loved it! However it suddenly doesn’t want to shut properly. I have to force the door shut! And because of this, my oven constantly thinks it’s in preheat mode. Last night the timer wouldn’t work. I’m disappointed that such an expensive product hasn’t been holding up better. If I had to guess I would say we’ve used this 20 times.

I have had my Breville BOV900BSS since January 2022 and in the past 9 months i've experienced zero problems. without hyperbole i can say i use the Breville 6-7 days a week to prepare various meals. features i have used include bake, roast, toast, proof, both pizza modes, slow cook, reheat and dehydrate. the oven has been outstanding on most features. i will say the bake mode seems to burn the top crust on the 8 or 9 cakes i've baked, even with adjusting the temperatures lower by 25deg from what the recipes recommend. the only complaint i have about the BOV900BSS is, with the exception of the removable crumb tray, the inside is difficult to clean. around the heating elements on top and bottom it is especially difficult to maneuver a paper towel or cleaning cloth. other than that, this oven deserves the 5 star rating i've submitted. thank you Breville!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought our first oven about5 years ago. It has been great...bakes a little hot, but great. Bought a second one and a replacement Breville microwave about 2 years ago...and it has been nothing but problems. Microwave was defective and we had to return. Oven buttons dont work (celcius to farenheit), heat is very uneven and it runs very cool. Unfortunately we didnt use it for anything but proofing at first, so never noticed. Seems like Breville quality is going downhill. So disappointing.

I had my 1st Breville Smart Oven for over 5 years and is still in good working condition. But, I was ready for something a little bigger. I love the improvements Breville has made including the super convection for air frying and the size is perfect for cooking multiple items.
I bought this oven a month ago and I am very happy with it. This oven replaces a previous Breville oven, which was a bit smaller, and did not have the air fry feature. I had the previous oven for about 10 years. It was starting to have some minor issues, although it still functioned. I am very pleased with the new oven, particularly with the fact that it can accommodate a 9 x 13 baking dish. I have not had a chance to try out the air fryer feature yet. I highly recommend this oven to anyone.
I bought a different Breville Toaster Oven earlier and was thrilled with it. I then found this model which added air frying. I had to have it. I gave my earlier model to a friend and they were also very happy with the unit.
This is my second Breville Oven (lost my first in a custody battle, lol). I wish I hadn't waited so long to replace it. However, this new Smart version with Air Fry is amazing. All the presets make this oven easy enough for my 9 & 10 year olds to use (supervised of course). As for cooking performance, until you get used to it, I wouldn't cook anything as long as the instructions on the food package or recipe say too. You may end up over cooking if you do, as the heat is much more uniform in this oven, and the cooking space being smaller it tends to cook faster than most regular size ovens.
