I bought this to replace the Breville 800 smart oven, and am enjoying it. I've only had it a few days, and have already used it to bake, toast, roast, and airfry, and am not disappointed. Only complaint: no cookbook! An appliance at this pricepoint ought to include one!
Love this new toaster oven! It is totally worth the price since I use it for all kinds of heating not just toast. Although, it gives perfect toast every time, it also is great for reheating and cooking. Simply love this oven.
When ConEd shut down the gas in our apartment building and we were giving a 1-2 year expectation of when we'd have gas again, we were left with a single electric hotplate to cook on. Between growing tired of take out or sandwiches, and with the holidays coming, we needed an oven desperately. We reviewed several and decided to get this one and I'm so glad we did. It's an amazing oven. We really love the fast convection and moreso, the air-fry feature. It cooks everything very well and the clean up is a breeze. It delivers on its promise. I can't wait to see how it will do with a turkey. I see people complaining about a manual and cookbook. Mine came with a manual, and a very good one at that. It's also downloadable on Breville's site. While a cookbook would have been nice, it's really very easy to find recipes online. Even Breville offers them to download. I didn't take any stars off for lack of a cookbook of all things.
I've upgraded from a smaller Breville and it was the best decision! It's faster, makes an excellent pizza, has a light inside and had a "rotate reminder" when cooking on multiple racks! Thanks Breville!
After much review, I bought this Oven.... I never expected to use is to cook entire meals and main entrees, it does a wonderful job. I used the "air fry" feature to cook bone-in skin -on chicken thighs. Dredged in season AP flour, then beaten egg, and back in flour. Used the basket in position 3 as suggested, with the drip pan directly beneath the basket. 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Produced juicy and flavorful chicken, outstanding!!! I enjoyed my meal, but was dreading the clean up.... to my surprise, it was so easy to clean up, wiped down the inside with kitchen cleaning wipes, basket and drip pan cleaned up quickly in the sink. I applaud the Breville design team for a job well done. BTW: makes great pizza too..... Thank you. Dave.
I have owned and operated 5 major size restaurants in Southern California, smallest 305 seats, , Without a doubt the Smart Oven Air does more than I expected. I have bought two now and will buy two more for my boat. So compact, and offers so much more than any other single countertop appliance., I have given away my toaster, deep fryer, old toaster oven, and a few other counter top junk. The air fryer is truly better on food than a deep fryer, and so much better on your stomach and waistline. What they say about 30% quicker cooking time is very true, and I keep forgetting and over cook at times. I looked for months before buying and it was other owners of the Smart Air that convinced to buy. Thank you all. You have brought more joy to my kitchen, my love of cooking.
Would have been a 5 if it had a good manual and cookbook.

The product works very well and has excellent features. Although they brag about the great things you can do with the oven (ie pizza) there are no instructions on how to do them. At the super deluxe price, I expect much better from Breville.
