Dont Rush Out To BUY

I had the original Breville toaster oven with convection and loved it so I thought I would upgrade to the large one with the air fryer. What a mistake! First of all the toaster is not as good and the airgryer makes the biggest mess I have ever seen.It doesn't cook or crisp as well as the little dash air fryer I had and you have to do a major clean up job afterward. I would not suggest anyone buy this for the air fryer!!!

Takes too long to toast, pizza cycle doesn't cook evenly, good alternate to the large wall oven

I initially bought it to replace a toaster oven which worked perfectly for six pieces of toast. The Breville takes longer to toast, so sometimes I just go back to the older toaster oven. The other drawback is the pizza function. During the pizza cycle, only the top two outer elements heat up and the two inner ones remain off, consequently, the center of the pizza is always undercooked in comparison with the edges. I use the correct pan and position and rotate as directed. I contacted Breville to see if there's something wrong with my oven and I was told that it functions as it should. I also asked if there's another cycle that is similar to pizza but one that fires up all top elements and I was told no. So, I am going to play around with cycles to see if I can resolve this issue. Biggest benefit is that it is a perfect substitute for the large wall oven when cooking small portions. It heats up much faster and reduces cooking time.

Original Breville without Air Fryer and additional settings is much better and more efficient. The first Breville I had lasted 5 years. This newer model broke in 2 weeks when the glass spontaneously shattered. My replacement version doesn’t work properly as the timing unit does not light during cooking and the indoor light doesn’t click on when cooking is 30 seconds from

Do not buy. Will fail quickly.

This was my second Breville toaster oven. The first toaster oven not an air fryer lasted my family two years. I felt this was reasonable given the amount of use. But the Breville toaster oven air fryer only lasted seven months. It has errored out with an E6 which per thepuser manual states it is a unrecoverable error and to contact support. But support states too bad, no recourse.
I love the toaster oven when it was working, but I cannot justify buying a new toaster every 7 months.

Not your mothers toaster oven!!!

After much review, I bought this Oven.... I never expected to use is to cook entire meals and main entrees, it does a wonderful job. I used the "air fry" feature to cook bone-in skin -on chicken thighs. Dredged in season AP flour, then beaten egg, and back in flour. Used the basket in position 3 as suggested, with the drip pan directly beneath the basket. 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Produced juicy and flavorful chicken, outstanding!!! I enjoyed my meal, but was dreading the clean up.... to my surprise, it was so easy to clean up, wiped down the inside with kitchen cleaning wipes, basket and drip pan cleaned up quickly in the sink. I applaud the Breville design team for a job well done. BTW: makes great pizza too..... Thank you. Dave.

Great New Edition To Our Kitchen

We purchased the BOV900 to replace our 8 year old Breville BOV800 that is still working fine. Saw all the new features and thought after 8 years let's upgrade. We were not disappointed, this oven creates magic in the kitchen. Everything comes out perfect and no need to use our large oven most of the time. The inside light is a wonderful new edition. So many settings clear and easy to use. Does not heat up our kitchen. Nice accessories come with the oven and many more available to suit ones individual needs. Highly recommend. High quality that will last for many years.

The oven is excellent, however, the instructions for toast are just wrong and have given me no end of grief including the return of two ovens. The fact that the center upper elements do not heat for toast is a failure for toasting. Bread must be in the front or back and it takes an unbearable amount of time to toast. This is not rocket science and should be corrected to make a perfect product. The smaller older units do toast perfectly. Toast that tales 7 or 8 minutes to do is dried out. Toasting should be a quick sear to brown the outside and leave the inside soft. This unit could do it. Please attend to this issue.

Great product but over time the door issues start

I am on my second oven and it will be my last. The spring on the door broke and I had to use a paint stir to hold the door shut. Now my current oven door does not close all the way. This is how my last oven issue started. I am currently looking at other brands.
I have always been a Breville fan, but the cost of the oven and the door issues simply do not make it a good investment.
In todays economy I simply cannot afford to keep shelling out money for a new overnight every other year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
