This is my second one. I destroyed the first one by cleaning it without reading the instructions. Oops. I immediately ordered a new one because I can't live without it. I use it for everything. i rarely use my big oven. i gave away my countertop air fryer and my dehydrator. Amazingly great appliance
Two items have come up during my use of the Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. 1) My old unit had a one piece crumb tray. This unit has a join at the handle. Crumbs get in there and are impossible to completely remove. 2) When using the air fry basket, the underside does not become brown and crispy. In other words uneven crispness. I do like the unit very much!! Cheers to Breville, a company of true Engineering. PS: The top came with a little dent. Also, I would like to complement you on your finger loop plug pull. Absolutely Genius! Of course this unit does not have this feature, but all my other Breville products do. Great safety feature as well as making use so much easier for young and old.
I did a LOT of research on air fryers and this one clearly rose to the top of the list. There are a lot out there with many whistles and bells, but few met the standard of what I was looking for. It easy to use, wide selection of cooking options and looks great in an already busy kitchen.
I just bought the Breville Smart Pro Air Fryer oven because my old Breville toaster oven finally died. Breville did attempt to service it but it was not repairable. I kind of was hoping for that because I’ve been looking at this new toaster oven for about two years; but didn’t feel I should get a new one while my old one worked just fine. I love the fact that this oven has an inside light that comes on when you open the door. I especially love the new features, including the air fryer. I’ve never wanted to own a standalone on air fryer because I didn’t want it taking up space on my table top. This air fryer is remarkable. It makes the most delicious crispy chicken wings. I’m especially excited to try the dehydrator in the next few days. I haven’t used all of the other features yet but I’m familiar with most of them from my other toaster oven. They typically bake a frozen pizza to come out with a perfectly crispy crust. I don’t tend to use the pizza pan for a frozen pizza. I just put it on the rack. This new oven also seems to have really good cooling fans that run for a few minutes after you’ve finished baking. I especially like that because the sides and tops of these ovens do get pretty hot. I already had the Breville cutting board from my previous toaster oven and I usually keep that sitting on the top of the toaster oven so no one gets burned. I’m also looking forward to the proofing feature to bake sourdough bread in this oven. This updated model is outstanding. And I appreciated the very good discount I was given towards the new purchase since they were unable to repair my old Breville toaster oven.
I purchased my first air fryer pro while living in a tropical climate outside the US. I wanted a portable oven so I could put it outdoors to bake or roast meats. When we moved back to the US a few years later, it was one of the first things I re-purchased (sold the other one to a friend). The oven is brilliant. I’ve cooked everything from bacon to turkeys in it with zero problems. Toast sometimes comes out unevenly toasted but I’ve noticed that’s dependent on the variety of bread. I love it and have recommended it t many friends. As I write this it’s 97 degrees during a July heatwave in PA and my oven is out on the deck roasting a chicken.
We bought this about a month ago. The features allow me to customize my recipes but they can bit challenging to navigate. The air fry function is disappointing. I had far better results with my Quisinart air fryer, however after many years of use, it needed to be replaced. I’m still learning how to cook and bake with this so I may have an update later this year.
