We love how versatile this oven is! It makes toast! It fries french fries, whether frozen or freshly cut! It bakes muffins and cakes! It reheats leftovers nice and crispy! That's just what we've done in the first few days. I can't wait to try some new recipes and methods. A winner all around!

I replaced my conventional oven with the AirFryer Pro years ago... after the redesign of the control panel... so long ago I don't remember the exact year. Since then I've baked, risen, roasted, toasted, fried, reheated, dehydrated, and stewed without an issue. I still haven't used all the available features... Other than having to tweak my technique of frying sweet potato fries, I've had no issues. I prefer this over the large conventional oven I gave away: it sits on metal shelving (good airflow and more storage in my old house), has it's dedicated circuit breaker (thanks, dad), heats up quicker and leaves my kitchen cooler, keeps foods at convenient height for curious eyes as well as hands (no bending back or knees or struggling with heavy loads or navigating around oven doors), and it does everything I need. The downsides: it's a little difficult reaching in/around elements to clean, limited space in terms of multiple dishes with separate needs, and I still remember the nerve it took to swipe my credit card. One recent issue: The door has started 'catching'... needing to be pushed slightly downward to close... but only intermittently and not a big deal- I'm hoping it's a short-lived fluke (thanks to my kid trying to cook?); hasn't happened in over a week now. Another downer: I tend to maximize sheet pan size which requires me to rotate pans once during baking- I should have bought an extra rack or two and stayed with the 9x 13 sheet pan size... but it could just be my pans are a bit cheaper than need be.
Overall, no regrets. It's small/compact, powerful, energy-saving, and does what I need. It does not feel excessive despite the technology and pricetag- It just feels smart. Sounds odd, but I'm a proud owner.

Learning curve for air fry feature

Seems there’s a bit of a learning curve in using the air fry feature. It doesn’t perform like the typical bucket type fryers. I wish there were more intuitive information and directions regarding that feature.

Steam escapes during cooking
on November 16, 2021
Posted by: Erika
I just bought this air fryer and I am deeply disappointed about the escaping steam during cooking process! :( Steam covers the display panel, and water drops rolling down on the front surface of the oven.
Doesn’t seem normal and acceptable for me. I thought Breville knows better:(. I have another kitchen supplies from them and I love those.

Thank you for reaching out to Breville. I can confirm for you that depending on the moisture content of the food you're air frying, there will be steam emitted from the door. The vents in the door are for just that purpose. The steam will get on the display panel. You'll see this noted in the user's manual, including under the Trouble Shooting section.

Steam is coming out from the oven door
• This is normal. The door is vented to release steam created from high moisture content foods such as frozen breads.

Water is dripping onto counter from under door
• This is normal. The condensation created from high moisture content foods such as frozen breads will run down the inside of the door and can drip onto the counter.

Since condensation builds up, if you are air frying fatty foods, grease can definitely be emitted along with the condensation. That's why we do suggest in the manual that when cooking fatty foods (e.g. chicken wings) use roasting pan instead of air fry/dehydrate basket to prevent the oil dripping. Discard excess oil in between the batches.

Steam leaking and it makes condensation , dripping on the counter top.
on November 25, 2021

I was so excited to have this little oven .
But now I am so upset to write this review about how to handle the problem with their product .
First time use it. Toast a couple of bread or bagel I saw the steam leaking from bottom of right side little bit . And the steam leaks more and more from top right side. It create condensation on the panel of LED. It create moisture and dripping water on my counter top. I naver saw any oven leaking steam even cheap toast oven .
I contact and address the problem and I gat answer that is normal.
I know one od my community website person used one year and she has same problem and she got answer that they know some door has issue and she got exchanged.
I don’t know what to do now.
