We bought this to replace the original Breville oven we purchased in 2014. It still worked but it was time for an upgrade and boy are we glad we went with this one. It's much larger than the old one so it can use larger pans. Love having 2 racks and the air fryer is a nice bonus. Since owning the Breville ovens we have only used our full size oven maybe 12 times since 2014. We cook and bake everything in the oven. Best purchase we have made again.

Hard to Clean/Condensation

I bought this in August from Crate and Barrel. The fact that it's very quiet is great. However, when using the air fryer or oven it's a mess. Food splatters to the top. The instructions tell you not to cover the food. It's very difficult to clean due to the coils at the top. I reached out to Crate and Barrel for a refund but unfortunately they said it had to be unopened or within 30 days. I had it 3 months and hadn't used the fryer or oven method often but when I finally did I discover food was sticking to the top and it builds up a lot of condensation when making certain foods and drinks. I would love to give this 5 stars but I can't. I want to return to Crate and Barrel and just get a quiet Brevel Microwave in exchange. :(

Overall, very happy with the Smart Oven. I would say the air-fryer is not as good as the "pod" style air fryers but it works pretty good. I haven't used many of the modes, but I can say that we use our large oven way less now that we have the Smart Oven.

We now use this oven for everything. Compact enough to fit on the counter, but large enough to bake a 13 inch pizza. The temperature is reliable and preheats quickly. I love the rack position indicators on the glass door for different oven settings (toast, bake, broil, etc.).
