Overall, very happy with the Smart Oven. I would say the air-fryer is not as good as the "pod" style air fryers but it works pretty good. I haven't used many of the modes, but I can say that we use our large oven way less now that we have the Smart Oven.
We now use this oven for everything. Compact enough to fit on the counter, but large enough to bake a 13 inch pizza. The temperature is reliable and preheats quickly. I love the rack position indicators on the glass door for different oven settings (toast, bake, broil, etc.).
We had the smaller smart oven pro for many years and were very satisfied with it and wanted to get an airfryer but didn't like the options out there, so we researched Breville and decided to purchase based on our previous experience with our toaster oven. We are very satisfied with the purchase and the air frying. The size of oven and ability to cook a number of things at once and to be able to air fry a lot of fries or whatever is what we appreciate.
I have had my new oven over a week now and this oven is a Lamborghini compared to my last one. Even cooking, toast is perfect, warming feature is great. One issue though. There is NO DRIP PAN FOR AIRFRYING. So making air fried wings, chicken thighs, anything that may drip fat isn’t feasible. I looked at accessories thinking maybe an optional drip tray was available, but no, there isn’t. This cuts down on the versatility of the air fry option. And I’m highly disappointed in that. So if you plan on making anything that may drip, consider another brand. This is my only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 star review.
