Fantastic small appliance that replaced our large one.

We upgraded approximately 18 months ago to the air and it’s just perfect. We have discussed our upcoming kitchen reno and have decided to create a nook specifically for this vs buying a double oven. This is so versatile, easy to use, heats incredibly quickly and bakes/reheats/broils beautifully. We’ve recommended it so many times with incredible responses, we should be considered reps. Really a great, affordable (vs double oven) daily-use tool.

We love our Breville Smart Oven. This is a fantastic product. It cooks great, is easy to use and simple to clean. It costs more than most counter-top ovens but is worth the price. It does everything well and is now an essential appliance in our kitchen.

Some good and some not so good

I started out buying the Breville 800XL. It was amazing and the toasting was as close to perfect as I've seen. Actually, I didn't have any issues with it. It simply turns out I bought the wrong one. I was looking for the air fryer (and then the dehydrator) options. I stepped up to the Breville 900. The Breville 900 air fryer option is amazing. My wife and I loved it. The dehydrator has been nice but needing 8+ hours to complete, is a bit much for me.
The most disappoint is the toasting option. It seems to have taken a hit. We've tried moving the rack up & down. Doing so shows a slight improvement to which ever side is now closer to the heating elements. After trying several different breads to be sure it wasn't something with the types of bread. Trying several different darkness settings and moving the rack up and down. I can't help but think the toasting feature has taken a hit by including the extra features of air frying and dehydrating. Personally, my morning toast and my wife's air fried potatoes are more important than anything dehydrated. So I am going to take a step down and give the Breville 860 a try. Overall, I do like the Breville products and would recommend them to anyone who asks. I would just be sure to let them know, there seems to be a bit of give and take.

The oven cooks very nicely and we’ve had fun trying new recipes with the air fryer. We had a problem with the selection knob, which sometimes had a mind of its own. After some unsuccessful trouble-shooting over the phone, Breville replaced the whole oven!
