Exceeded my expectations in every way!

I’ve had many countertop-convection ovens/air fryers/multi-units and am pretty hard on them. I bake and decorate desserts professionally, and my past professional history included man years working in the research and development department of a chem lab for a major manufacturer. I’m used to the process and opinion is great, but forming your own opinion through tests you know you control, thats key. I read reviews for everything I purchase through an independent testing organization (Consumer Reports) and value their findings more than the “opinion” of someone that took something out of the box, used it minimally and then wrote a review.
We purchased this unit a few weeks ago, and I have honestly used it Multiple times every day to make All three meals and snacks, cookies, pizza, fries, fish fillets, chicken breast tenders, home-cut French fries, onion rings, cakes, cookies, pies, roasts, stews, ribs... endless uses and have used every setting on this unit at least once. I put it through it’s paces with a number if different oven thermometers in various places to the house the evenness of oven heating an honestly, this unit has not disappointed in any way. Even browning, even toasting, not burning, great temperature distribution, powerful fan with multiple and controllable settings and is totally user-friendly. The solid construction comes through in the unit in every way from the “feel” of the controls to the obvious quality of moving parts, to the solid feel of all included accessories. I was honestly hesitant to spend a relatively premium price on an at-home oven, but figured I’d give it a try once i felt it at the store and checked it out online, I was comfortable with the Breville name and quality,so I had nothing to lose.
I’m not disappointed in any way. Breville can be proud of this unit’s design and functionality, and any consumer can trust that this unit will outperform pretty much every other unit made for the at-home chef or pastry artist. This is my second Breville product and I’ve found the same quaity consistently through any product I’ve had the opportunity use either at our house, in store or at a friend’s house.
Kudos to Breville for standing out in a time when other companies are masking inferior workmanship with shiny, pretty products that break down quickly and give sub-par results and producing this unit. Totally versatile. Totally performs. Totally excites me to be in my kithcen again!! Thank you Breville

Good machine. Convection does help, but would have liked to have a user manual or cookbook that translates conventional oven cooking times to the Breville oven using convection or super convection. Also need a better steam vent path rather than corner of door near handle.

Had this for almost three years. we use it regularly - so much so that we hardly ever use our traditional stove any more. However, problems are now cropping up. It no longer toasts bread evenly. One side toasts per normal while the other is still white. Also - the door mechanism has been sticking open now and gets caught on something unseen? After much fidgeting was able to get it to close again, but now the door will not close all the way. tried contacting Breville and was told it was out of warranty....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This oven is the ultimate must have piece of equipment! Every function ( air fryer, slow cook, dehydrate etc ) is excellent! I don’t even bother using my stand alone oven anymore unless I am baking a three layer cake.

This is easily the best and worst oven I have owned

I bought this oven about 2 or 3 years ago and it quickly became the best kitchen purchase I have made. The airfry option is amazing and overall everyone loved the product. It is a pain to clean and keep clean but I was willing to over look it. Then shortly after the warranty ended we starting having issues with the door sensor. It would not register the door as shut and so would turn off after a few mins. for safety reasons. If you pushed the door harder or closed it again it usually started to work. After time it would eventually never register the door and essentially rendering the product useless. I have looked around and unfortunately there is no other airfry oven that seems to work as well and offer the amount of space as this one but I do not look forward to spending so much for a year or two of usage. I strongly suggest changing the door sensor. To potential buyers I recommend considering the value of the product for your specific situation as it might not be worth the cost.

It’s a wonderful machine, but it is really hard to clean burnt grease splatter especially after using the air fry mode. I recognize ALL toaster ovens have this problem so I clean it as well as I can after every bake or fry session.
