We bought a toaster oven years ago that we loved. It lasted us a long time before the lower heating elements died. We still used it like that for a couple of years. It didn’t cook right and was not big enough for much. I finally decided it was time to replace it. I spent several months researching before I felt I found the best one for us. I couldn’t be happier with our choice! Not only did it replace our current toaster oven, it also replaced our air fryer, it’s much larger than our old one, and I can even use it to slow cook, dehydrate, or rise breads! I’m so impressed with it so far. It’s longevity will be the next thing to test. My only complaint is that it’s not the easiest to clean when you air fry in it. Otherwise, it’s a win!

Great oven & functions, but issues after a year

I loved Breville smar oven when I used it for a year. Shortly after a year the knob for function was not operating well. We had to push/pull then turn to make it work. About 18 months convection option started making weird noise and it seem that we cannot use that function anymore. Adding on top, yes this oven does not seem to reach the temperature it indicates. This is an expensive oven and we should not have to replace it every couple years. Great oven, but cannot give many stars for the above reasons.

2nd one with issues.

This is our second unit. The first one had issues with the door opening properly rendering it unusable. Even with issues, we liked it so much we were happy with another. Well, today the spring that helps close the door snapped (or became loose) during use. We love the functionality of it, but at this point have to question the quality (and value for the money).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this to replace the original Breville oven I got in 2010. There was no oven in the small house I bought so it was my full time oven. 14 years of great cooking. Looking forward to the Air Fryer setting that is new to me.
Living where it is so hot in the summer I never used my stove oven. I was waiting to find a large enough countertop oven that fit my pans, especially my full size 12 muffin pan, I have other Breville appliances and I just love them, so I knew I would love this too. I love that I can choose between bake or convection. That was a game changer. My husband even thanked me for getting this.I do keep mine unplugged like all my small appliances to protect them as much as possible from power surges. Preheating is really fast.

The sounds this toaster makes….

We got this appliance for our wedding and love the functionality of it, but I have to keep it unplugged because it’s constantly buzzing a low, almost inaudible sound that is quite annoying. Since I keep it unplugged, every time I plug it in to use it, it makes a horribly designed loud beeping tone, repeatedly, to let me know it’s on. If that wasn’t enough the hinges squeal every time you open the little oven door. I cringe every time I use this appliance. It’s well designed otherwise, but seems like they did not take into account the auditory experience of this appliance, and made some mistakes along the way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
