Typical of most microwaves, the front panel is packed with a confusing array of too many buttons. This LG has only two function buttons on the front door, and the essential other functions are available behind the door, when you open it up. Not only is it elegant, but it is powerful and quick. If you want an excellent microwave in your kitchen that enhances the modern aspects found in quality appliances, then this should be your choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is simply great. We tried other microwave brands but had to return them because of the inaccurate cooking/reheating results. This LG does everything correct thus far. Reheating left-over meals produces evenly heated food. No more random cold spots. Cooked pop-corn for the first time without scorching the pop-corn or getting a burnt bag! Defrosted chicken breasts evenly without it cooking the thin edges of the breasts.
I don’t mind the controls being behind the door as it gives a cleaner look to the microwave. Setting the different times for the various cooking times is easy. Or you can just shut the door and use either the sliding time function in 10 second increments up to 90 minutes or touch the “start” button repeatedly for 30 second increments. The foot print is smaller than our older 1.5 cubic foot microwave.
To me, the tune played when the cook time is complete is melodic and not annoying. It is better than a single “Ding” and then I forget that I had something in the microwave.
I only wish that this microwave also had a convection oven function.
