[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this Microwave for roughly a month now. It looks great in my kitchen, and certainly does the job.
Pro's: It's very good looking, I love the LED light in it, it's easy to clean, and doesn't eat up a ton of counter space. It operates well, cooks fast, doesn't seem to have a hot or cold spot in the oven. There are some innovative controls like the automatic 30 second on from the start button. I like how easy it is to add time to the cooking cycle. I also like that I can slide my finger across the time bar (for lack of a better term) to increase the time.
Con's: 1) Cooking is in 10 second intervals. You cannot set the timer for 15 seconds, it has to be set for 10 or 20 seconds, nothing in-between. When re-heating some items I want 15 seconds, without having to hover over the microwave.
2) The oven can't chain cooking commands together, for example I can't cook at 50% power for 1:30, then have it cook at 100% power for 50 seconds. I have to run the 50% 1:30 program, then when that ends, start the process over by putting in the 50 seconds. This type of functionality is especially helpful when trying to get everything to be done at the same time. For example, a steak on the grill, where I'm cooking it for 20 minutes. I would love to put the veggies in the Microwave before I start the steak, have it count down 15 minutes, then cook the veggies at 100% power for 5 minutes. The steak and the veggies would then be done at the same time. Other (less expensive) microwaves have this capability. It seems this would be a great feature.
3) When the Microwave is done cooking it has a cute tune it plays. If you don't open the door, it plays it again in about 30-45 seconds, if you still don't open the door it plays it again, and again, and again, and so on... I think it does stop at about 5 minutes, but the fact that I can't turn this off or turn the tune into a simple beep is REALLY ANNOYING! The tune is annoying, but to have it repeat until you finally open the door is over the top annoying. If I follow directions and leave an item in the microwave for a few minutes after it finishes cooking, I have to hear the reminder tune (not just a tone a tune) over and over until I open the door. Whoever thought this up needs to examine their motive, because this will make one crazy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this when my micro quit on me. Did some quick research and price checking and chose this LG. Some reviews said it was too dark inside, not the case. I love the way the cook control pad works. So easy! This microwave cooks quick and evenly. Sometimes you need to be watchful of the sensor cook but that’s with all sensors. Excellent Value!
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave replaced a very old one that finally gave up. Great features, I love the time select on the door. So easy to use and you just have to love the tune played when the cooking/heating is done. The controls are easy to use, the turntable is big and very well supported. And you have to love how easy the interior is to clean with the coating that LG puts on it. One great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very powerful and lots of great options for reheating etc. without guessing how much time. Sometimes overheats when dish is covered. Some things explode because of the power. But still learning and happy so far.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this microwave for a few weeks and just enjoy the sleek design and quick heating ability
I went to a "big box" store because I wanted lots of choices. After the clerk recommended a couple brands that were especially good for sensor heating and defrosting, I looked at size, ease of operating and cost. This was the clear winner. It is perfect for our needs.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality
