Does the basics well, but is annoying to use

Heats quickly and is reasonably quiet, but it has three annoying problems. 1. There are no numbers to enter time or heat level, you have to keep tapping on 30 second increments, or swipe your finger across a slider to add or subtract time. It is imprecise and gimmicky. 2. When you pull the door open, the whole microwave slides across the counter. You need to hold the oven with one hand while you pull the door with the other. It's awkward and cumbersome to put a dish in. 3. It has no convenient timer to set an alarm for other kitchen chores (like when you want to saute for 10 minutes, or let dough rise 30 minutes etc). My old microwave had that and I really missed it when I got this one

Can't see display!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought this microwave. It's pretty, but the outside plus and minus buttons where the slider is are not lit in any way. Even in the daylight, you can hardly see it. There is a bit of a raised area to feel the buttons, but it's not enough. In a dim room, the clock & timer are fine, but you have to strain to see the plus/minus bar. If you wanted to use this in a dimly lit kitchen at night, no way. Terrible design. I wish I could return this.

Above all I like the sleek and smooth look it has. It took 2 minutes to cook a bag of ACT popcorn, usually it takes 3 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that I'm in Microwave Heaven! The controls on the microwave are sleek and easy to use. The efficiency and evenness of heating is the most proficient and consistent I have ever experienced. It's equally good at quick warm up of leftovers, microwave meals or thawing out. And normally I don't care about this but I can t get over how great it looks in the kitchen, the lack of too many visible prompts makes it so sleek. All of the sounds of operation, completed cooking etc... are effective without being invasive. It's easy to use and it works like gangbusters. Definitely the best microwave I have ever had and at fifty-seven years old, I've had quite a few. I'm eager to try really large scale use which I'd normally never trust to a microwave but this one is special!
