It works okay, except the Start button doesn't always work. But the music it plays is so annoying it makes me want to through it out the window. I see that some other people disagree with that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Size is right & it does what it was meant to do, but that's about all I can say. The chimes are so quiet you can barely hear them even when standing 12 ft. across the kitchen from it. The interior light is inadequate but I think it is more due to the fact that the interior color is dark. With a white interior, the light has something to reflect off of. There is no keypad so nothing you do is quick unless it is only to heat something using the 30 sec. button. I think the look is fine but I also think they could have put a full key pad behind the door instead of the few buttons they have. My dad is 80 & he is having a hard time learning to use this microwave. Also, the company that comes out with a microwave that has the choice of a door that swings left to right or right to left would make a fortune!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the features. One problem. I had to send the first one back because it didn't sit flat. The second one has the same problem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks good! We swapped our 1200 watt microwave for this LG unit and there is no comparison in power. It's loud. The door is a design that has already started feeling cheap upon opening and shutting. Wish we'd done more research and comparison shopping. 2 months old and we are shopping for a replacement.

Controls Hard to See/Read if Older or Colorblind
on April 6, 2024

We'd give the otherwise highly-rated NeoChef 1.5 cu.ft. better marks, but the controls are very hard to read! We're older folks and I'm red-green colorblind (like about 5% of males to some extent). Gray lettering on a black background is very hard to read, and the red lettering on "STOP" is invisible to me against the black or gray background. Some often-used controls are accessible through the smoked glass when the door is closed but THEY ARE INVISIBLE TO ME unless I use a flashlight to highlight them. (We have to keep a one beside this microwave.) When are manufacturers of all kinds--not just LG--going to start testing their consumer controls with older and red-green colorblind consumers?
