Not reliable, failed just over 1 year of usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this microwave for 1 year and 2 months. Microwave started only partly heating food for a bit, and then just stopped heating anything altogether. When it finally stopoped heating, I tried letting it run for 15 mins to see if it would finish heating up my frozen leftovers. The sides of the microwave got hotter then my food. We have LG washer/dryer and fridge that have been pretty reliable. So, I'm really disappointed in how fast this microwave stopped heating. We replaced a 15 year microwave with a bad door that was driving my wife crazy, and I'm kinda wishing I would have just spent money fixing the door instead of spending money on a cheaply made LG microwave. What is 10 year warranty on the magnetron worth if it costs more to repair the microwave then it does to buy a new one.

Replacement Is Not Enough

This is a review for the replacement microwave LG sent me. The first one I purchased didn’t last six months. The replacement machine is an older model and not my favorite microwave. It doesn’t heat as fast as the original one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It wasn't until I got this home that I realized there's no numbered keypad. That wasn't apparent when I ordered it online. So I find out that cook time can only be added in multiples of 10 seconds. Ten seconds can be a LONG time in microwave cooking time!! I hate it. I talked to the store I bought it from and a manager told me I couldn't return it because I ordered it on line, even though it was a stocked item.
I minor irritant is all the music it plays. I don't need music to tell me the microwave has started.
I have always had good luck and been very happy with LG products. This is the first time I've been so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
