Quality Problem

Purchased it last year at Best Buy without warranty because I used Panasonic microwave over for 10 years without any problem but reheating suddenly stopped and did not work.
Last week I threw it down into the city landfill in spite of still looking like New One.
I was very disappointed with the quick breakdown of LG product, one of global brands. Contacted to LG service center and H/O etc. but just guided to the repair shop. The repair shop said, its diagnosis fee is over $50.00, Not the repair fee, only as diagnosis fee. Who on earth will try to repair it with such service??? I purchased other brand's small one last week. The simple functioning one is the better one as for the Microwave, I think.

It's a microwave with a good look.

We replace our microwave after ~7years of service. We chose this LG microwave because BestBuy beat the price from other retailers. It's a normal microwave that heat up food. I like the idea of 30s of heat time with a press of start button without opening the door. I don't have a chance to use the other features. Why 4 stars? It could be better. Like for example: (1) the closing of door could be less noisy. (2) the inside control panel is not back lit. It would be nice if it is, so that I don't need to turn the light on in the kitchen.

Poor Microwave and worse companies

Microwave broke within 3 months of purchasing it, bough May 23 and broke at the end of July. Used like normal to heat up food. Bought the best buy 5 year warranty. Waste of money. Best buy doesn't cover 1st year. Went to LG, even worse service they will cover the "cost" of the microwave but forget any additonal fees and warranty you dumped into the junk. Buy a better brand LG is garbage and Best Buy warranty is worse.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the black colour. Had it for a week now. Just a little finger prints problem but it cleans up very easily.

I like the design and functionality of this microwave but is extremely loud! Have bought LG products for years and more recently they have become sub par. This microwave and the horrible loud sound that it makes is just awful.

I like the microwave heats up fast and consistant through out the food. Has a nice little jingle when it's done. Other than that pretty standard.
