Great Replacement

Our old microwave stopped working and we found this one on sale. It was delivered before the scheduled delivery date.
This microwave was easy to setup, just plugged it in and we started using it. Simple to use, easy to clean, and the inverter heats up the food evenly. It does everything we need a microwave to do.
The glass does attract more fingerprints, but it is easy to clean.
The chime when the food is ready did get some getting used to. It's a tune, and not the old "beep". It will make you want to go get your food quickly before it reminds you with another tune.

Perfect for the job

I bought this Microwave oven because it was one of the models recommended by ConsumerReports. I took the model without the stainless steel around the door, saved $20, and it looks very good with its black tinted glass door. 1200 watts means it it heats up well and it does so evenly in the food (no cooler or hotter spots). My only "beef" is that you can only set up the time by 10 or 30 second increments (in the manual mode) and what I do is simply press clear when I'm done if I need a short 15 seconds instead of 20 seconds, for example. Plus the magnetron is guaranteed for 10 years. One of the best guarantees on the market. I highly recommend it.

Very good looking microwave

I bought this microwave over the Panasonic that was also on sale because it had less negative reviews. It looks very nice in any kitchen, I think it looks nicer than the stainless steel one.
One complaint is that you must set the clock immediately after you plug the microwave in before touching any other buttons. Otherwise you will need to unplug the unit and replay it to set the clock. Guess we’ll have to repeat that process when spring forward in time. If your unit is on the counter top then it’s no big deal but if it’s on a built in area for the microwave, it’s not fun!

Finally an (almost) perfect microwave

Very happy owner of this microwave. Love 98% of it.
Pros: - No harsh beeping sounds any more for me early in the morning, making a Monday worse. So(!) much nicer what LG implemented (chimes) instead. Cannot overstress how much I like this. - Seems I lucked out and all(!) the presets esp "Start then plus" etc are exactly what I used before for cereal, soups, etc., just significantly less key typing on this one. - Very evenly heated food, impressed! - Looks very nice and is easy to operate, the all-glass door and touch interface is extremely well done. - Butter from the freezer: Does an amazing job in evenly unthawing butter, no more having one side a butter puddle and the other side a glacier on which knifes shatter. Used that more than once, so it's a feature, not a bug.
Cons (Minor things I noticed): - Bit on the louder side, could be significantly more silent if they added one more screw in the right-side panel, approx middle. - Interior light (Pro: LED) is a bit on the weak side, to be honest, could be either a wider angle or brighter - Slippery feet. It slides around more than it should. Added silicone feet to stop that.

Cheaply made

This is a very light microwave. The metal for the outer cover is very thin which vibrates and rattles on the left side when it's running, when closing (not slamming) the door it really rattles. Simply not acceptable for a new product, I returned it the next day. Also this microwave chimes instead of beeping which I found annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LG NeoChef 1.5 Cu Ft. microwave LMC1575SB BLACK

This is the 3rd one I have bought. My son and daughter recently bought new homes so I bought them one because they have tried mine when they were over and loved the way they performed. Loved the the color black and they can see in the microwave when something is cooking . The grand children love the music when it stops. I have a fridge washer dryer stove all made by LG.In my opinion they sell the best product on the market. Price wise they are very reasonable.

Almost one year, great so far

In use since July 2021, so far (May 2022) almost one year already, great functionality for the price and no malfunctions whatsoever so far.
Some may find the lack of a number pad unsatisfactory, but we've never had an issue with that, esp. given the price. You just press the PLUS button and 30s added to the total heating time.

Form over function

I like the look...it is very sleek and clean looking, but it comes at a cost. There is no keypad and all the everyday functions are buried in the minimalist button layout. I had the previous model and it was far, far more functional. It had a keypad, one press could cook a potato, change power settings, etc very easily and quickly. Now you have to press the + button or slide your finger over the time bar to increase time and it's more difficult to get the exact setting you want. You have to look up which sensor heat setting you use for potatoes and press it 6 times to find the right setting, etc. It's a major step down in function from the previous model.
Also, the previous model died after just 2 or 3 years so I'm hoping this one lasts longer. I had 3 Panasonic microwaves before that and they all lasted only 2 to 3 years too so maybe none of them are going to last. The black one is a bit cheaper quality than the stainless steel as it's just plastic but it's covered by glass so not as noticeable.
Finally, the website shows this at 1600W power...it isn't. It is 1250W according to the manual.
