The display of black on black is horrible. The LED bulbs burned out on the display rendering it useless even though the microwave was still working. The repair estimate (I called LG to get a certified LG repairman) was almost the cost of a new microwave. We tossed this one out and bought a new one. It ISN'T an LG as I would never buy LG again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Then reminds you again with chimes if you do not remove your food. Easy operation and all the features you need if you use your microwave as much or more than your stovetop. A very handsome kitchen addition, too!

The power on this is remarkable. "Nuked" a 5" burger @ normal time from other m/w and it was too much. The burger was heated through, but the outside was dried out.Learning curve!
When cooking @ lower power levels it doesn't "turn on/turn off" like you're used to.Haven't been able to confirm this, but it seems to regulate the actual power during the cooking.
Going to take some time to learn, but l really think you can actually cook with this, not just heat stuff up
