[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will admit to being attracted to this microwave in the store due to its looks - I wanted to get a microwave that didn;t have the standard number pad control system. When I got it home and opened it up, it looked just as good in person as it did in the box.
The non-traditional interface did require some learning curve, but the manual is well-written and very clear, and so I was up and running within minutes.
The sensor cooking is very accurate - frozen and fresh vegetables are cooked nicely, and thawing meats works quite well - it might err a bit on the cautious side, leaving some parts still partially frozen, but I prefer that to having cooked bits in the meat.
One of the more interesting features is the audio cues for cooking and button presses. There are no harsh beeps here, just melodic tones. It signals the end cooking with a short melody. Additionally, the sounds are still loud enough to here a room away, but not nearly as piercing and loud as a regular microwave beep.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an okay microwave. I wouldn't have purchased it myself, it was a gift from my husband. Pros, sleek design, and a turntable that sits above the microwave floor. Cons, it doesn't have a melt or soften (for butter) setting. You pull on the door to open it, and push it shut. It shows finger prints worse than any other microwave I have owned. Side note, why can't they make a microwave, that is continually being touched by fingers, with a material that shows limited fingerprints. He couldn't buy it in white ( is that a con?) It has an obnoxious tinker bell sound when you start it and when it is finished, instead of just a "microwave" beep. It is not worth the price tag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks nice in my kitchen and I love the musical notifications when timed cycle ends. I thought I would appreciate fewer touch screen buttons, for example, no numbers, but find that it takes a few extra screen touches to cook as I prefer. The programmed cooking for baked potatoes works great, not so for the bacon setting. If I cook 2 slices, it burns. When cooking 8 slices, the center 3 pieces always come out with half of each piece burned. For slower warming, I used power level 3 on previous 1100w microwaves which worked great; this 1200w microwave takes much longer to warm on power level 3 for the same types of food. If I only used high to warm or cook everything, this would microwave would work just fine. Using power levels and programmed cooking or reheating requires opening the door to touch the screen control buttons and then closing the door to press start and stop. There is an increase/decrease time line that may be used with the door closed but power levels and programmed cook/reheat requires opening the door and using the inside controls too. All controls on the outside of the microwave are for high level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had the microwave for 3 weeks now, and are really impressed. It’s sleek design and soft alert tones are really appreciated. It heats food and drinks in almost half the time as our previous microwave. Love it!
We bought this microwave oven because we have had bad luck with other brands. This LG is so far a great little oven, it is very quite and has great features. We love it !
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is an upgrade I've been wanting fire a while now. The old 700 watt kenmore did me well but it was just time for something better. I watched all the YouTube videos and was impressed. This thing is smart. There's no number pad on it but I didn't have a hard time adjusting the slide time. It's simple to use. It looks great in my kitchen too. The only thing I found is that the popcorn censor is way off. It burns the popcorn if you let it run through. I don't mind doing it the old way. This cooks food and soups so evenly through. I never get that hot edge that melts a plastic container. And it's fast! I would definitely recommend this. It fits in a small space as well. It's not as big as others with this much power.
