Great while it worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge is less than 2 years old and has already stopped working and before it stopped the door thought it was open all the time and wouldn't stop beeping. I will never purchase another LG product.

I’ve already had to pay to have the stupid filter enclosure replaced on my less than a year old refrigerator. I don’t need the stupid filter. What a waste of money and how disappointing am I in your LG refrigerator water filter. I’ve been trying to find a plug that will fit my refrigerator no left yet so what are you gonna do about that ??

4th time failure - looks great, works poorly

Bought this unit in Sept 2018. It stopped working several times, ruining frozen food and perishable refrigerated items (seems the self-defrost doesn't). On 4th time (Jan 2021) it stopped completely. Technician took one look at it and said "it's the compressor - I get called out to these LG fridges all the time". Compressor is ordered, while we're without fridge-freezer for two weeks so far.
Found out there is a class action lawsuit on LG refrigerators for compressor failures (Google it - submission to participate closes Feb 2021).

You don’t have to open your whole fridge just to get out a quick item! I love the ice maker in the freezer section being in the door. It gives more space free in the freezer part. It’s a win win all around with my new LG fridge! Would highly recommend it!
