Experience was mixed

The chat and phone support was great! Unfortunately I had to use them because there was no information online at all for my model (21065) and once I got a manual it was out of date. It also had conflicting information from the in box (also not complete) provided installation instructions. After two lengthy chat sessions and one phone call everything is installed and working. I set the cameras to come on with motion. I set up the motion detection map. The camers come on about 15 times per day and nothing is moving. I will try adjusting the sensittivity setting. The step1 software failed to load correctly. After setting and saving the current time in the admin screen, it would continually reset to midnight of the current date. Support suggested rebooting. I did that and all seems ok now. The night time (very dark outside) picture quality between 12 and 40 feet is really not a good enough quality to turn over to the police. It was frustrating that the admin menu for internal viewing/adjusting is different than the menu on the monitor that is directly attached to the DVR. Maybe these problems were all me but I work in IT with software and hardware all day long. So, I think I have a reasonable background to handle this kind of install. All that being said, now that it is finally all set up, I am hopefull that the system provides the security I am desiring. I suggest using SwannView instead of the recommended Asee for phone access. No ads. Thank you phone and chat support people. I could not have done the install without you.

Works pretty good, conflicts with wifi

Purchased this back in December. Installed three cameras then but had some that would not pair up. I sent those back to Defender and got them back. Will make sure they pair properly and then install. System works pretty well but really hosed up my computers that use the 2.4ghz wifi on my internet router. Basically makes that signal range completely useless for computers so you will need to purchase network adapters and a router that support 5ghz. Not an expense that I had planned to incur over this security system.

Happy with Product

We had a system installed previously and had to return it becasue we were not at all happy. We recieved this system and was so impressed during setup. Unlike the other system, we literally took it out of the box, connected wires and power and poof!!! they all worked. We still have to install the cameras on the exterior but from what we have seen so far 100% happy with teh setup, picture quality and he ease of hookup, absolute breeze!!!!

Great Unit

We monitor pregnant animals and their babies in 2 different small barns. My wife loves it. It has saved her many trips to the barn in cold weather to check on the animals. All four pictures on one screen is great. The night vision is fantastic.

l purchased this about a month ago and so far I am happy with the way it works.
All of the wireless cameras have good range and good clarity. It was easy to hook up and get running. I would recommend this system to any one that needs a wireless security system.

Easy setup and reasonable price

I have had this set for a few weeks now and am quite happy with it. I am having a situation with one camera but your customer service is very good and trying to help me fix it. They will exchange it if necessary if we can't fix it. I am very impressed with the view of the night vision distance and programming it has been easy with suggestions from customer service. The color and day vision is also excellent as you can see by the photo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Right before buying this I bought another wireless system from sams club, was a little more inexpensive but of course I also got a very cheap looking system that right away gave me trouble. On the other hand, I was very surprised not only on the quality of this product but on the effortless setup, I didn't even had to sync the cameras, they automatically found the wifi, awesome product, worth the price!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this system to keep an eye on the house when I'm away and I found it was very easy to setup and install. Took me 2 hours to install all4 cameras. The picture quality was better than I thought. The menus area no brainer to navigate.
The only point of inprovement would be: maybe a higher resolution camera, selling an extension cable for the power supply of the camera, being able to add a password to the Clearvu APP (it seems that if you resell yout system and have access to the system number you can acccess the camera without a password) and the ability to add a external HDD to the USB port.
I would recommend this to a friend!
