I bought the wireless system to replace an old Logitech system at my home. The cameras are high-quality and have the added bonus of excellent night vision. I like having no wires to run. The wireless base units attach to the dvr which connects to your router/modem for online access. I needed help to get my router to respond and the phone tech was superb. She walked me right through it with no hitches. The program which comes with Defender is awful...useless, actually.
One flaw in the system - the longest distance I can support is about 75 feet before I lose the signal. So beware, if you are planning on running longer distances, you might be disappointed.

Great security system for the money!!

The setup of this system is as simple as can be. The video quality is good and the email notifications with the motion detect are great. I bought the system with 6 cameras and have had two of them going for a few days now. The hardest part of this system is figuring out where to put the cameras. I am waiting for dusk to see how the exterior lighting at my house affect the cameras. I have one mounted right above a set of flood lights and there is no light interference at all. I will probably end up getting another two cameras. I highly recommend this system.

I have 4 of the cameras mounted. The cameras are easy to pair and the floodlights (I have two mounted near floodlights) do not affect the image at all. The picture quality is good and the wireless range is also good. The email notification is nice so you can see who is coming and going. The cameras are well built and appear to be very durable. I would recommend this product.

This is the second system I've bought in the past few months. Installation is easy, but camera placement is crucial. While the advertised range is several hundred feet, in reality it is much less in a real life situation. Despite that, it is still a very good system. Tech support is great. Michel in particular does a great job helping to get everything up and running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

realy clear cameras and great VCR

Bought from HOME DEPOT sight unseen and found it to be all I wanted...easy to place
cameras as long as 115v power is at the location you want the cameras. the wireless
function works well, but it is a HOG.. had to change my PC from wireless to Ethernet.
the PC kept losing connectivity to the internet via wireless with the cameras on wireless
also.
The DVR client software is excellent and works well.. I needed help with this and Julie and
Daniela in Support Center were able to get me through the things I didn't understand.
Port Forwarding was a mystery to me. I am now able to view my house from any where
in the country. Very important to me since I spend time away during the winter.

I wish I'd ordered an 8 camera setup.. Found I could use more cameras. I will change to
an 8 port DVR and add a couple of more cameras after the holidays.

This is a very good system for someone who doesn't want to run a lot of wires. The clarity of the cameras is very good. My only complaint is that the stated range is 750 ft, but I have two of my cameras mounted outdoors approximately 50 ft from the DVR and the connection is not great. There is much latency on from those cameras. The only wall between the cameras and DVR is concrete block. The other 4 cameras that are mounted indoors are great.

at first i downloaded the manual to read and thought this may be
difficult to get up and running. when the system arrived i
set it up all on the floor with all cameras and turned it on. it
all worked right out of the box first try.

computer. i tried following the manual and had no luck as my
modem seemed to not acknowledge it. i did not want to mess up my
home wireless Internet so i call defender for help. they call
back the next day and a wonderful lady walked me through the
process in a short time and now all is working as i wanted.
