Wireless security system.

The system was easy to install. The camera picture quality is great for day and night vision. Over all quality of components is good. The effective range from the cameras to the receivers is not so good. With an stated range of 750 ft (195 ft suggested) I expected no problem receiving a constant signal. At 35ft I still have intermediate reception on one or more cameras.

Good product. There are better quality options in higher priced packages, but for the cost this system is a great bang for your buck. I had a really hard time getting the wireless cameras to sync with the receiver, but once set up was done this system has been hassle free and more useful than I would have imagined.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great system, does everything that you need

I have had this system for a few weeks now and it has been meeting my expectations, has so far been very reliable, it does exactly what it should be doing. But i do have to warn you that it was not a breeze getting the cameras to connect to the receivers. For some reason it just didn't want to do it for it. After about 2-3 hours of failed attempts, it finally worked, not sure what i did, but i think i did something by clicking the buttons on the back of the receiver and camera, i don't know but it finally worked. What was more frustrating is that i couldn't find help on this topic ANYWHERE in the manual. To me, this should have been the first thing in it… Anyways after that, everything has worked properly. Except for a defected receiver, it came in the box not working but i called them and they were very helpful, i will be mailing it back to get a new one. Hopefully it doesn't take to long and it isn't to much of a headache, i don't think it should be but i will write another review warning you if the customer service was no good. But again, other than those minor things, this is a great system, i highly recommend it to anyone.

I recommend my Defender Security System

I purchased the Defender Wireless Pro and after 3 hours my system is up and working. I was little disappointed at first but am pleased with the performance of my security system. The clarity of the video is superior and the ease of which I can use the DVR is a bonus. I would recommend the Defender Wireless for anyone needing a superior security system.

Great first security system

We originally purchased the Defender intercom system when we installed a custom wrought iron entrance gate. It worked so well we decided to buy the Defender 21304 system. The system was very easy to install and the DVR has many recording options. I researched a number of different manufacturers and found the system I wanted cost far more than I wanted to pay so I opted for this system as a beta test. Meaning that I could determine which features I really needed. The system offers many features for the money, i.e, a 1TB DVR, motion activated recording, wireless cameras, remote access. So the only feature I would upgrade is the cameras.
I use one camera to provide a complete image image of our entrance gate. In the future I plan to upgrade the cameras to at least 720p so the recorded images provide greater detail.
I am still trying to get the remote access to work, but I feel confident with the Defender customer support I will resolve the issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this after already owning a wired system from Defender. I love both systems. They both work great. As far as I can tell, the only negative is that you have to have a plug for each camera, but that is a minor thing compared to what you get. I would definitely recommend and order another.

Easy set-up.

The wireless cameras and receivers were easy to match up. Reception range is ok. Foliage obscures the distance some. We have 3 of the cameras at a building approximately 350 feet away and reception is ok with 1 bar of signal. This includes 1 camera inside the building placed at the skylight. The IR works very well and projects a great view out to 60-70 feet. One camera has issues, but the company is working with us to correct the problem. Camera cords have plenty of length on them to allow good placement without excessive extension cords. I would have liked a manual for the monitor operations. Also would have liked a 6 picture view option for the monitor seeing the unit only comes with 6 cameras.
