mistakes I made

I bought the 4-1 squid and hooked it up to my receivers and it blew up my receivers. I also bought a 65 ft. connecting chord and found out it is not for the wireless cameras. So, install the system as it comes and it will perform great. If you are not sure of something, contact the CHAT line and get an immediate, correct answer.

Bought this model to hang externally on my home after a home invasion.
System was as easy to set-up and provides an excellent daytime picture from all 6 cameras. Nighttime picture quality is not quite as good, but still adequate. Had to put the receiver/recorder in a central location in the home so that all camera wireless links worked.
This is a good system and it is transportable should you move. I had one issue with a camera and power supply, but the item was replaced under warranty no question asked. Excellent Customer Service support.

we bought this unit plus 2 extra cameras, and it was very easy to set up and start using right away. It has a good picture and a it is a great unit

It is just plug and play. I love the zoom in and different camera viewing features,and the price was right!

EASY TO INSTALL

I am so glad I bought this system. It is very easy to install and the picture quality is sharp and colorfully displayed on the screen. I had minor networking issues but they were resolved quickly through the help desk. The lady in the chat room knew very well about the system. Great system and awesome support..!!

Easy to Install, good value for the price

I purchased this a few weeks ago, and installed it in a large barn to watch the animals with. The barn is metal so the wireless cameras wouldn't reach to the house. I had to install the DVR in a room in the barn to get the cameras to connect to it. This created another problem, how to get an internet connection from the house to the DVR. I ended up setting up a wireless internet bridge between the barn and house using two Ubiquiti NanoStations. I can connect to the DVR through the internet fine. The only issue so far is two of the wireless receivers connected to the DVR have had to be reset multiple times, they just loose the camera connections and the only way to get the connection back is to unplug the power and reset them.

Pretty good product

Pros: lots of flexible options for recording and playback;
Cons: setup instructions leave a lot to be desired; fortunately the CD has the full manual, but it would have been better had they just given you a copy of the full manual. Live viewing via my older iPhone (iPhone 4) has a lot of lag.

i Bought this set of wireless cameras dvr and are very satisfied on how they work i had a problem installing 3 other cameras with its communication with the small wireless antenna router i sent back to defender for a review and inspect of them waiting on rsponse other that that 2 already wireless cameras are running running right now with the dvr recording work great distance on them is excellent Recommend.
