Great security system for the money!!

The setup of this system is as simple as can be. The video quality is good and the email notifications with the motion detect are great. I bought the system with 6 cameras and have had two of them going for a few days now. The hardest part of this system is figuring out where to put the cameras. I am waiting for dusk to see how the exterior lighting at my house affect the cameras. I have one mounted right above a set of flood lights and there is no light interference at all. I will probably end up getting another two cameras. I highly recommend this system.

I have 4 of the cameras mounted. The cameras are easy to pair and the floodlights (I have two mounted near floodlights) do not affect the image at all. The picture quality is good and the wireless range is also good. The email notification is nice so you can see who is coming and going. The cameras are well built and appear to be very durable. I would recommend this product.

This is the second system I've bought in the past few months. Installation is easy, but camera placement is crucial. While the advertised range is several hundred feet, in reality it is much less in a real life situation. Despite that, it is still a very good system. Tech support is great. Michel in particular does a great job helping to get everything up and running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a very good system for someone who doesn't want to run a lot of wires. The clarity of the cameras is very good. My only complaint is that the stated range is 750 ft, but I have two of my cameras mounted outdoors approximately 50 ft from the DVR and the connection is not great. There is much latency on from those cameras. The only wall between the cameras and DVR is concrete block. The other 4 cameras that are mounted indoors are great.

Works pretty good, conflicts with wifi

Purchased this back in December. Installed three cameras then but had some that would not pair up. I sent those back to Defender and got them back. Will make sure they pair properly and then install. System works pretty well but really hosed up my computers that use the 2.4ghz wifi on my internet router. Basically makes that signal range completely useless for computers so you will need to purchase network adapters and a router that support 5ghz. Not an expense that I had planned to incur over this security system.

Not as clear as I had hoped and was quite difficult to get the internet setup. Called support and was able to it cleared up after selecting sales as tech support was only pre-recorded general information.

Only draw back is that it completely takes over 2.4 Ghz wi-fi signal and no other devices will work on that frequency. Thought I'd have to take the system back but found a work-around. Set up phones, tablets etc. on the 5 Ghz bandwidth and whenever 2.4 is needed for Netflix on Wii, I temporarily shut off all 3 transmitters plugged into the same powerbar. Not ideal but works for us to have the convenience of wireless cameras. Many thanks also to Michel from customer support to help me set up remote viewing.

I recently bought this product and found it very easy to install. I was also very impressed with all the features and viewing capability. I did however run into difficulty attempting to view from my phone and on my computer. I wasn't able to get it to work myself so I decided to call technical support. I was on hold for quite a while and but finally got through to someone. The gentleman's name was Michel and he was nothing short of phenomenal!! He knew his stuff inside and out and walked me through everything. Halfway through the call I lost service from my cell phone and he actually called me back to walk me through the rest of the setup process!! Great customer service!!! I am extremely satisfied with the product and technical support!!
