Love This Vornado Fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not aware of the Vornado brand before trying this pedestal fan. Once I saw it, I realized that my mom had one that sat on the floor when I was a kid. It was a solid, well working piece of equipment. I am happy to say the same about this fan. Putting it together was a little challenging and it did weigh a little more than I thought it would. However, I had help assembling it, and he made it look very easy, so it was definitely me and not the product. I placed the fan in my kitchen and pointed it toward the living room. It's very hard to keep these 2 rooms cool in the summer time, so I always have a fan running. This fan has 3 speeds and can be adjusted up, down, or straight out. It's very quite but very powerful. Because it has been so hot, I have only used the 2 and 3 settings. It keeps my living room and kitchen quite cool and I have actually been chilly in the evenings before going to bed. Other fans I have tried have just moved the air, they haven't really cooled the air. I am looking into purchasing smaller Vornado fans for my 3 bedrooms as I believe it will help cut down on cooling costs. I highly recommend the Vornado VFan Pedestal Circulator. It is a good investment and well worth the extra cost. This is a product that will last for years.

This fan is so cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this fan for a few weeks now and I love it! This fan is very quiet on low but it is still powerful. I live in an old house with no A/C so I need something to keep me a little cooler while I sleep. I use this all night long with it on high and it's a little loud but I've gotten used to it. It's not as loud as the old fan I had and that one had very little power on high seeing. This is a retro fan but I wish it was a different color. The green is a very unattractive color and that's mainly the reason why it's in the bedroom so no one sees it. The other issue I have is that it does not oscillate. Also, the top part is heavy and I have to continuously tighten the top so it doesn't fall off the base. I do like that the base is heavy so the fan will not tip over if I accidentally bump into it. If you are looking for something retro that is powerful yet quite then this is the fan for you. If it came in a different color I would definitely want another one.

Cons: Heavy, Heavy / Bulky, Lacks Adjustability

Great product to keep the whole room cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product couldn't have come at a better time-summer heat has hit the country, and some days feel just miserable. I live in a small apartment with just a window air conditioning unit, so I really looked forward to using this product. And I have to say, I've been impressed. First, what should be stated-this circulates air. If the room is just filled with hot air, it's going to be a hot breeze. You must have some sort of cool air flowing, whether from air conditioning or windows open, to truly appreciate how much this product can cool a room. I turned on the window unit and placed this fan on the opposite side of the room. The air flow allowed the entire room to feel cool, as opposed to just near the window unit. In the past I've used a box fan to blow the air from the window unit-that worked okay if the fan was blowing directly at you, but anywhere else in the room didn't get the same effect. With this Vornado fan, anywhere in the room would get the benefits of the air circulation. On the days it was a bit cooler out, I was even able to turn the air off and just let the Vornado circulate the air-this will certainly be a cost saving benefit for sure. Now I have a smaller apartment, so this worked well to cool not only the room it was in, but also the next room (if the Vornado faced out of the air conditioned room into the next); however, somebody with a bigger house might not get the same effect. This seems to work best in a large room or a small apartment. There are very few negatives I could really report on it. It is a bit heavy and bulky, but that just proves its stability. And while it is absolutely quieter than putting my box fan on high, it's not totally silent-you will still hear the fan, it just won't be as obtrusive. So in conclusion, I would definitely recommend this fan for anybody who wants to turn down their air conditioning and save a little money, but not sacrifice comfort. This would certainly be a great investment.

Vornado Pedestal Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Vornado Pedestal Fan was easy to put together and is very sturdy and durable. It's fairly quiet compared to other fans, and I like that it's easy to take apart to clean. It also has a cool retro look. It's perfect to use in a living room or bedroom to keep air well circulated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I want to thank this company for allowing me to test and keep this fabulous Vacation fab. I received it in the mail within the three days I was told through email. It came to me in great shape and well packaged. Of course I was excited and wanted to open it right away. When I opened it I plugged it up immediately. This fan blew better than an air conditioner on high fan. I was amazed at how good this fan was the air from it felt so good I actually turned my air conditioner off. I haven't turned it off yet. I would definitely buy another fan like this one. I live in a state that is hot more than 6 months of the year and it seemed impossible to go without running the air conditioner, but when this Vornado fan came here it changed everything. The way this fan rotates the wind it's like real Tornado wind affect. I really love this fan. The only con I found about this fan is the fact that it is a little heavy and there are no wheels on the base of it. I think it would be better if there were some attached to the base so the customer could tilt it a little and be able to roll it wherever they feel it's convenient. Other than that this is one of the best experiences I have had with any fan I have ever bought yet. I want to thank you Vornado for allowing me to have this great opportunity to experience this wonderful sensational feeling of having a fan that I no longer need extra air conditioner wind added to cool my room in the heat of the day. Thanks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is great! It's very sturdy and has a cool retro design. It has 3 different fan speed settings all of which are pretty powerful. The only flaw was that the base arrived scratched, so Vornado could use some work on their packaging but otherwise, it's a great product. I would definitely recommend the fan to others.
