The only reason it is not a 5 star is because it is not as tall as your usual freestanding fan, and that it is a bit cumbersome to “adjust” the height (remove the middle stand bar). Otherwise this fan is absolutely amazing-plus it is manufactured in the USA.

The fan moves air very well. It is noisy at higher settings but typical and normal for air circulation fans. Height adjustment, which is only a few inches, can only be done by unscrewing. It has no oscillating function, which is typical for air circulating fans, but nonetheless highly desired for users. I think this is one of the best air circulating fans in the market, but there’s much room for improvement especially for the price.

My family has always been huge fans of Tornado products, because of the quality and design. This is the first product like this that I have owned that is elevated off of the floor. It was super quick and easy to assemble! My favorite feature is the knob that adjusts the speed. i doesn't just offer a few speeds. moves to any speed you desire! This fan is super powerful so it is not silent at the highest speed, but still the quietest fan I have every seen that operates at its speed! Does a great job of moving air throughout the rooms we have used it in (bedroom and home office). I definitely recommend adding this to your home!

Died at end of warranty

This was a fan-tastic replacement to a black Vornado my family had for at least 20 years which began squeaking whenever it turned on. This was purchased as a replacement and then died around the 5-Year Warranty expiration date. Unbelievable decline in duration of product life compare to previous older model. At the same time I also bought one of the white "energy saver" tabletop models which is still running smoothly 7 years later.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I would love to say this Air Circulator is amazing. I received this free for my honest thoughts and I would have to say I really do like it... I have tried large ones like this but they don't compare at all... This one really gets air movement all through the room... I love the fact that you can control it and you can pick in between the normal settings you would get on a fan or air Circulator.. The faster it is the louder it is which I don't like but you do expect that... I would have to say I would purchase this if I needed another one and the price point was correct. I was aware of this brand before testing this product but not this particular model.. I would highly suggest this for anyone who is in the market for one..
Pros: Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Stable Base
Cons: Lacks Adjustability, Loud

If you live in a non-air conditioned house this unit, for the price, is not worth the money.

We live in Northeastern Minnesota in a house that has no cooling system. And from late June until mid-September, it can get hot and humid. The 783DC is not the answer as under these conditions, it only works fair to keep our large living room comfortable. One would think for the price I paid this "Air Circulator" would be more effective. I'm not saying it would be cool like AC, just be more effective
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Moves a lot of air

It keeps me cool so far and moves a lot of air. Really like how I can adjust the speed all the way up to down very low. Don't like that it comes in only one color and that it doesn't stand taller like other fans I'm use to.
