Air Circulator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the air circulator is an excellent fan. The design is a little bulky, in my opinion, and could be a little sleeker (although I know there are sleeker models by the company). However, the power behind this fan is excellent! It would work well in a shop or large area that lacks circulation. I put the fan in front of my air conditioner unit to help circulate the air, and it's worked out well so far, cooling down the main living room/kitchen more effectively than the AC alone. As a side note, for how much power the fan packs, its relatively quiet until placed on the higher/highest setting.
Pros: Good Power Output, Quiet
Cons: Design, Heavy / Bulky, No "rotation" setting

I really love this circulator. It's my second 783DC and the difference is clear. It was hard convincing hubby to go with the 2 large circulators but I felt veryyyyy vindicated today when he said "hmmmmm, it seems these will actually have us using the AC less this summer" . Needless to say I was as pleased as punch.
I also have the smaller version and I'm seriously thinking of getting another smart large air circulator. Thank you and I love the warranty period. It gives me a huge peace of mind

Great circulator but could use some cable management

The circulator is great: it is quiet and can move a lot of air...great for a large room. It also looks nice except for one thing: it lacks any kind of cable management so the cable hangs off the back of the circulator and there is also a large power adaptor hanging off the cable. A design that finds a way to hide the cables and maybe even the adaptor in the stand would be really good.
Pros: Good Power Output, Quiet, Stable Base

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has been using this at night. While I usually like using a heated blanket, he prefers to stay cool. We received this fan as a sample to test out -- my husband was able to put this together within about 10 minutes with minimal effort (and if it counts, he had extra and tiny hands "helping"). The product came packaged nicely in a sturdy box and didn't have a lot of waste. We used the Vornado first that night after setting it up. What we like the best about this is that it does exactly what it does -- it circulates the air and doesn't blow air directly in front of it. It definitely keeps the air cooler around the space it's directed, but isn't annoying like a standard fan would be. I could also believe this fan would cool off a fairly sized room. Another thing we love is that it's quiet -- it makes more like a soft white-noise type of sound (I take that as a good thing), though it's barely noticeable while sleeping. Also, this fan gets bonus points for being kid finger-safe. We tried to see if our 18 month old's and 3.5 year old's fingers could get through the fan (*while off*) and there was no way they were getting through. And even if they could, there was a large enough distance between the cover and the rotating blade, there would be no way for them to get a finger injury. As far as cons -- it takes up floor space. We have a modest sized bed room and it takes up maybe 2 or 3 sq ft. I wouldn't say that's a lot, but if you have a smaller room, it might get in the way. The good news is that the base is one-side supported/space saver, so you can easily slip most of the base under a piece of furniture while the fan is in use. Overall, the fan is great and does what we he hoped it would do --- and that's basically allowing my husband and I to have different room temperatures while sleeping. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to cool off a room and/or just keep the air circulating.

Exceed all expectations

An excellent air circulator for use in a master bedroom. This is my first Energy Smart Vornado and the variable speed adjustment is fantastic. Smooth operation and the unit is quiet for its size. Stand assembly just takes two bolts/nuts and its solidly built. Highly recommended.

Great fan with a design flaw

Great fan with amazing build quality. No complaints except a few things.
1) Power adapter connecter to fan is not fairly secured. A slight disconnect from the fan turns the fan off. Needs to be tightly inserted.
2) Wish it didn't have a power brick.
3) Make user serviceable to clean areas where dust builds up.
Finally, wish Vornado sell parts to replace items that break like the fan grill/ clips. My first Vornado clips have broken from cycle of removing and installing when cleaning.

783DC ENERGY SMART - WOW!

I just received my 783DC ENERGY SMART Air Circulator, this afternoon… I was hesitant to spend so much on a floor fan, as I am on a limited income; this is no floor fan! Air Circulator IS the correct terminology! Talk about QUALITY! This is really built well! I decided to make this purchase because of the propulsion design and the Energy Smart, DC technology. I live in an Electric Co-op area; electricity is VERY expensive! I do not have A/C, either… This really moves the air, and is so well built I don’t think it will ever wear out. I was so tired of horrible, breakdown fans… now I have comfort, at last… I will save up to buy a second 784 DC ENERGY SMART AIR CIRCULATOR for my bedroom. (I will never buy anything else, again!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this is a fairly large living room and the effects this product has on it is incredible. I like the design, the color, the quality. The only downside I could point out is that it is a tiny bit heavy, but nothing to extreme. I would highly recommend this product, because not only does it look fancy, but it works like a charm, too. Two thumbs up!
