Stay away, worst fridge on the market.

Like many other reviewers have indicated, the door alarm sounds at random, the seals are poorly constructed, food spoils much faster than it should (for instance, milk expires more than a week before its best-before date), and the list goes on. We had no choice but to use this fridge as it came with our condo, but if you have the choice, stay away and choose literally any other fridge. So incredibly disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible & Inconsiderate Product

I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with the URB551WNGZ Whirlpool Fridge. This is, without a doubt, the worst product I have ever had the misfortune of purchasing. The beeping is constant, relentless, and utterly unstoppable. It’s as if Whirlpool designed this product with no regard for the fact that people need peace and quiet, especially when trying to sleep. The fridge is only 5 years old, yet it is already causing extreme distress—both from the noise and the sheer frustration of dealing with a product that has clearly been poorly engineered.
The beeping doesn’t stop. It goes on and on, interrupting my sleep and disrupting my entire life. No matter what I do, the problem persists. It’s as if Whirlpool doesn’t care at all about its customers, or about producing anything that actually works as advertised. This fridge is a perfect representation of Whirlpool as a whole—careless, inconsiderate, and absolutely lacking in quality.
I regret ever buying this fridge, and I regret ever trusting Whirlpool as a company. Their products are all the same—poorly made, faulty, and completely unreliable. If you value your sanity, your sleep, and your life in general, I would strongly advise you to stay far away from anything this company has to offer.

Short lived appliance

This is the second fridge of the same model we bought for our cabin. The first one died less than 2 years after install. We thought it was a dud or we had not done something properly over the winter when shut off. Had to replace. Same thing happened to second fridge same model exactly the same timing. Will not be buying a 3rd. Prior fridge ran for 20 years!
