We bought this refrigerator because of the slate color. Love the fridge. The ice maker doesn't hold much ice and seems to recover slow. The top drawer in the freezer does not operate as smoothly as I think it could. Otherwise we love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like this fridge. Roomy and easy to organize, good lighting, and even cooling in main compartment so can keep quite cold and not have to worry about items freezing. Only complaint is the ice maker. We consistently use a glass or two of ice per day but it still clumps together, requiring frequent opening the ice maker door and shaking the ice bucket to dislodge jammed cubes near the top of the bucket. I have even taken to turning the ice maker off to keep it from filling to the very top but still experience this clumping problem. Biggest fear is that this will end up damaging the seal between the refrigerator and ice maker which will cause the problem to get worse and worse. Not what I was expecting from GE. This flaw spoils what is otherwise a very nice item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

we like the fridge very much especially the ice maker, the only complaint I have is that it is a little noisy, compared to some of the others I have seen.

Beautiful to look at, but.....

This refrigerator is the perfect color, unfortunately the only brand that makes it is GE so their is no competition for other options. I thought an airplane was taking off from my house before realizing it is the refrigerator! Now I have read other reviews and apparently the loudness is a major negative. The other issue is that while the door holds two gallons of milk, if my husband wants a gallon of juice or a jug of Sunny D, you have to lay it flat because the shelving is not designed to move far enough apart to put an item that tall on the shelf! I drink diet Coke religiously and can only store it flat down or at the top of the right hand door which weights the door down causing it to slam or my bottles fall over every time I open the door. I have been very flustered by this refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The size

My husband and I bought this refrigerator in October. I love the size...more room in the refrigerator and freezer. The freezer has two sections, one of them being a drawer above main storage area...this comes in handy for those things you keep in the freezer that are used frequently. We live an hour away from grocery stores so we like the storage space as we go to town every couple of weeks.
