The Dual Evap Cooling System has improved the freshness and quality of my fruits ang veggies. Worth the extra money. My only complaint is the very small ice capacity and the "dripping" water dispenser. Sometimes one or two drips, other times more. Noisy when refilling ice.

My grandmother and mother always had GE refrigerators. I for years did as well. Then I foolishly purchased a new side-by-side design by a competitor... big mistake (4 repairs within 3 years). Once we got the kinks worked out, it was moved to the garage to serve as "the party refrig" as it was too small for our growing family. Then we bought a French door design by yet another competitor....service within 3 months. And then the compressor failed 10 months later. Major frustration and $$$ later....so I did serious research and decided to return to GE. This refrigerator is fabulous...has everything we wanted and the slate finish is terrific. No fingerprints or noseprints show and it blends perfectly with the stainless dishwasher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced old GE fridge. This model is an improvement. Doors close better. Design is more functional and efficient. We love the LED lighting.

We've had our refrigerator for over 6 months and it's been great. Lots of room and storage. Simple features with low maintenance. It does make some loud noises from time to time but that's about it.
