Terrible unless you like warm food

This refrigerator died after only 5 days. Then a replacement is on backorder with no sign of a replacement after a week of no refridgerator. So if you like to look at the pretty lights and have warm food, no water or ice then this is the refridgerator to get.

Thanks for posting a review about the water filter change light on your refrigerator.

Our bottom-mount refrigerators that use the RPWFE water filter, it uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to detect leaks and monitor the filter status and will automatically reset the Replace Water Filter when a new RFID filter is installed. There is not a way to manually reset the water filter reminder. If the Replace Water Filter message will not disappear after replacing the filter, check the following:

Incorrectly installed filter or by-pass plug.

When the filter or bypass is correctly installed, the word "FRONT" will be showing. If "BACK" is showing, then reverse the filter or bypass and reinstall.

Incorrect filter.

The ID chip on the filter detects when a wrong or non-genuine GE Appliance part is used. If this happens, the dispenser will not work and the display may read "Leak Detected" or "Reset Water Filter". Check on the back of the filter for the ID chip. This will be a black square outline under the label where it says "This side must face inward".
If there is no chip under the label, it is not a genuine RPWFE filter. Order a GE Appliance Part online

No filter or bypass is installed.

Either the RPWFE or the bypass plug must be installed for the dispenser to work.

Black Fridge with stainless door

The one thing I told my husband is "I don't want a black fridge. I'll never sell my house without replacing for full stainless. I want to cry every time I walk in. Why would you make this. It looks like I cheaped out and replaced the doors from black to stainless. We wanted a GE because of the dual evaporators.

Very disappointed

Got this refrigerator yesterday and my freezer isn't working and the refrigerator is really working either. Talk about frustration when you have food to salvage. Can't get a repair man out here for a WEEK! AND I had to purchase the dairy tray!! Good thing we didn't sell our old refrigerator because we need to use that in the garage!!
