Not worth the expense

Bought this appliance in July of 2018. Three months in, we had a problem with everything freezing. Now it is September 2019, and the refrigerator has completely died. We don’t have a heavy use household, it is only my husband and I. I cannot understand how such an expensive piece of equipment has died just over a year after purchase. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The Water Dispenser Constantly Drips

The water dispenser constantly drips and leaves quite a mess behind. It's irritating and pretty much useless.

Six months in and it has already malfunctioned. All lights, ice maker and water dispenser have stopped working. It will be interesting to see how the warranty service goes.

Stopped cooling and started smelling

We enjoyed the new refrigerator for 4 months until it stopped cooling and started smelling. We are currently struggling to get a GE authorized servicer to come look at it so we are without a refrigerator.

After much research we decided to go with GE after a repair man suggested it for its quality. We’ve now owned it for a little over a year and a half. The ice constantly drips. The ice maker gets frozen shut. Though big in volume, the layout allows for less food than my past smaller fridge. The door shelves on the left hold nothing. Two of the three shelves on the right are broken. Again, we’ve owned this for less than two years. The temperature doesn’t seem consistent throughout the interior. Overall I would not recommend. It’s poor quality in my experience.

2 Year Disappointment!!

So I have had my refrigerator just over two years. Since day one it has been super loud while running. Inquired with dealer they said that was normal. Well two day ago the items in the bottom drawer of the refrig were frozen solid, while everything else was cool and not cold. Call a repair person....the fan/cooling system is out, also had the look at why the water/ice maker has been dripping water when we hardly ever use it and why the door into the ice maker always has ice around it. Repair person states - these are notorious for having problems. For the amount of money that I paid for the refrigerator you would expect to get defiantly more than two years worth of service before having to invest more money into it. NOT A HAPPY GE APPLIANCE OWNER!

Lots of room

This refrigerator looks beautiful, with the slate color. The ice maker is in the door & gives you so much storage in the upper part. It’s also easy to get into the ice maker, if you need to. The freezer has plenty of room too. The only thing I don’t like is when you get water, through the door, a drip comes out when you’re finished. I just have to wipe it up. My family & friends all think it’s so pretty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We do apologize for the dispenser dripping. It is not unusual to see a few drops of water dripping from the dispenser after having dispensed water. This is caused by pressure on the water line and changes in temperature causing some condensation to form and drip.
