Needed a replacement

Unfortunately we had to purchase another fridge if we wanted to match other appliances. First fridge/freezer lasted 7 years and then compressor and components stopped working.
Hopefully the new unit will last much longer.

When all systems are a go it’s a great fridge.

Freezes refrigerated products

We have owned this refrigerator five to six years. When you pay a lot for a refrigerator you expect it to last. When we purchased it, it had good reviews and we were pleased to see it was mainly made in the USA. At this point, we will never purchase a GE product again. Within the first couple of years we had to purchase a new freezer fan because it stopped working. We lost quite a bit of food when that happened. In the past year, we noticed it was freezing our refrigerated products. Our fruits and vegetables in the veggie/fruit drawers and also any product that was even close to the back of the refrigerator. We have lost milk, eggs, yogurt, packaged lettuces, etc. We finally realized if we filled up the veggie/fruit drawers it would cause this problem. So today we are heading out to purchase a better refrigerator product, probably an LG.

Nothing but trouble

Top shelves running hot, high humidity and bottom shelves froze. Evaporator Fan has already been replaced. Repair man has been out several times. Ice make chute periodically freezes over. Loud noise from evaporator (an assumption) occurs periodically too! I’m so tired of these GE appliances being lemons! I will NEVER recommend a GE product again.

Good looking fridge, terrible quality.

The fridge looks amazing but it seems as though GE has forgotten how to build quality long lasting appliances. I have had this fridge for 4 years now and have had to replace the water dispenser door twice now due to it malfunctioning. I write this review because the water dispenser and ice maker are AGAIN not working. Avoid this fridge.

Not meant to Last!

Two months after warranty ends it stops working. We called and was basically told "Its to old". We can but a new one though.
