We built our home 2018. This fridge has been a nightmare. The freezer handle broke off. We ordered a new one and it also comes off. Two or three times the meat and cheese drawer freezes up and the upper part of the fridge is warm. I had this problem repaired a third time in March and it has happened again. I threw away over $50 in groceries today. I’m done with GE. We’ve had trouble with every single GE product in this house.

Not an exact match, more of a lemon!

I was told this fridge was the exact same as the one we had. Our old one the compressor went out. When we received this one the first thing, we noticed was there was no ice maker in the bottom freezer, like our old one had. Now the ice maker in the door won't allow the ice cubes to come out. Tried calling the company who sold us the new one and they won't return our calls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features and USA made

So far so good after a week of use. Took 2 full days to start making ice and really maintain the proper temps but running great now! Love the interior lighting and room. Ice dispenser is SO NOISY. Also, no butter compartment on door and no door basket in the freezer. Also, I wanted Black, not black slate but due to a $200 price difference I bought the black slate. I did not like being steered into a color because of price. Will review again after more time has passed!

I can’t say anything about how it works yet. It was just installed. But the shelves are pretty flimsy and I can’t get all the packaging material out so at the corners and seam lines it looks dirty. Some of the material is white so it really stands out on the slate color. Also didn’t get an owners manual. Have no idea how to set temps.

Fridge has a nice color/texture finish that does not show fingerprints. Decent capacity. But it's the second one I've had to buy in less than seven years because fridge stopped getting cold. To repair would have been expensive and it may or may not have fixed the problem. I had to get the same model because I have slate finish on the double oven (which I had to replace two years ago) and the dishwasher which I had to replace last year! All appliances less than seven years old. So, I suggest anyone deciding on whether to purchase these models/finish to think twice.

Not impressed initially

This is a new refrigerator as of 5/20/25. It does not come with an owner's manual, but a QR code that gets you to a GE page with links for the owner manual, but the links do not work. Also, the refrigerator's protective plastic is put on in such a way that you cannot get it all off. I have had this refrigerator for 3 hours, and my experience already sucks.
