disappointed in longevity of device

Purchased device in July of 2018. Had to replace the front electric panel in 2020 and then again last year in 2022. Over this past weekend the fridge stopped cooling and repairman today informed the condenser and related part must be replaced. Parts and labor works out to cost of a new fridge. I enjoyed its features when it lasted such as the water dispenser, led lights etc/ But I am terribly disappointed in the duration of performance of the device which must be replaced. Giving serious consideration to other brands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We do offer a limited 5 year warranty on all parts of the sealed system which including the condenser. Love the slate color line

This is my second slate bottom freezer and I love them. I may have to update this review at a later date as the water dispenser seems to have a slow drip.

Replaced an old dog side by side refrigerator

This is slightly larger than the side by side refrigerator we replaced. The size is slightly larger but the freezer being on the bottom makes the freezer much much bigger. The glass shelves inside the upper parts of the refrigerator are very easy to move around to make room for large or small foods.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't do it!

Failed at 360 day mark. Was told by GE tech arranged during warranty call, could be slow leak anywhere in freezer system... so couldn't fix without replacing each individual part which would eventually fall outside warranty. Was given advice on how to charge by myself. Fun part is freezer annuallly fails. Thanks factory warranty! So awesome! Have fun repairing on your own. Looking forward to annual recharging.

Great features.

The freezer space is great! Really like the drawers in the freezer, easy access and tons of room. Another feature is the bottoms drawer in the fridge.
We were excited for the water and ice feature, however when getting ice it is extremely loud and the water drips a few times after filling the glass. Seems like I am constantly wiping up water on the tray.

Hoping second time is a charm
